Jazelle is a very friendly mare. She loves hanging around other horses, and is a best friend to all of them. You would never call Jazelle stubborn or bossy, nor would you call her boring and blank. She is bursting with personality, that only the sweetest at heart could hold. She loves to go out riding, and likes to obey. Sometimes she is unsure about what you are asking her to do and she will kind of freak out. You have to stop. Cool off and give her a pat, and then you can go on. That is why, if you are rider, you must be able to give a clear signal of what you want. Otherwise she is the horse that will let you cry on her sholder, will be the first to the gate for a pat, or the one that will give you a hug.
Short Story
As a walked into the barn, I saw the two of my students playing a clapping game on front of Jazelle's stall. It seemed she wanted to stick her nose right into the game herself. When one of the girls, Sophia, saw me approaching, she asked, "Do you think it would be too much as to ride your princess Jazelle today?" in an old English accent. They hung around the stable a lot and where maybe even a little too comfortable with requesting horses they wanted to ride. I did not have to think twice about whether Jazelle was going to take care of her or not. She was well passed completing her training. The two girls where jumping off the walls when I said yes. Not everyone could ride Jazelle, especially kids.
Not too soon after she had Jazelle all ready and tacked up for her lesson as with the other student who was riding Fash. As we walked into the arena, Jazelle perked up and whinnied. Inside was a feisty yearling in training who whinnied loudly back. Sadly, it was raining and very windy, and we only had one completely inclosed arena. Jazelle and Flash would have to deal with the yearling...
I helped Sophia up on Jazelle and send them off at a brisk trot. The lesson went well, till about 20 minutes before we went back in. The person leading the yearling out of the arena made a big mistake by not opening the gate all of the way. While she led him out of the arena, his hindquarters brushed against the gate. The yearling reared back and surprised, the owner dropped the lead. He went galloping back into the arena, heading straight for poor old Jazelle and Sophia. Kicking out while galloping, he was getting closer by the second. I was to far away to do anything. All of the sudden, Jazelle put her head down, and gave a look that said, "Don't you dare hurt my girl." The yearling decided that he did not want to run into that grumpy old mare and made an attempt to stop. You could almost hear the screeching of the brakes as he tried to stop, and when he did, he had his head up to Jazelle's. When she snorted, he turned around and cantered back to his owner, stopping where he had been before he took off, and quietly let her take up the lead rope. After we all recovered I said to the owner, who had come back to check if Sophia was OK, "Well, it looks like your little colt learned something today!" She laughed and replied, "I did too! I learned that he might become a very good at reigning!" we all laughed.

Caught in the middle of a crossfire
Lost my balance on a high wire
Trying to figure out what to do
Pushed to the edge of my reason
Everywhere around me it's treason
I don't want to do that to you
Kamikaze airplanes in the sky
Are we going down or will we fly?
This could be a shipwreck on the shore
Or we could sail away forevermore
This time it's sink or swim, sink or swim
Hearing the song in your laughter
A melody I chase after
No one else has done this to me
Take a deep breath
No more time left
This is what I thought I wanted
Why am I afraid?cαмραηιση
Ghost was found by Kamikaze's owners. He was discovered cowering in the corner of an empty stall and the couple took the black dog in. The nursed him back to health, bit his coal black fur has a permanent grungy appearance. Ghost is a very shy dog, but is playfully and loving with those he knows.
