the species:
tauren are about the size of a horse. males are usually bigger, with thicker fur and denser muscles. they have four eyes with excellent vision, capable of seeing extraordinarily well in the dark, and a set of venom-tipped fangs inside their mouth. they are predominantly carnivores; eating any and all meat they can hunt, humans are no exception to this rule [unless the human is their partner, or partnered with another tauren]. their fur is thick and shaggy, yet seems to hold no heat. the reason for this is yet to be discovered. tauren are surprisingly social, living in small groups of up to five. they frequently come into contact with other groups, and seem to have no exact territory; they are happy to share with those of their kind. when it comes to hunting, they are brutal but fast- and food is shared among them.

Story: (its beautiful coat was stained a redish pink because of the gods, what made the gods so furious to stain its coat)
Sorry if the story is a little short..Orrrrr long...
As a child his parents were killed by larger bigger predators and this youngun was left on his own to die, having escaped by scurrying into a hold too small for the creatures to reach.
He was trying to hunt by the water one day, his golden fur glistening in the sunlight as he leapt in towards a fish.
His hint was unsuccessful and he realized he could not hunt without popper parental training.
And so his journey began, seeking out the gods by night, and sleeping during the day, eating nothing but rats and berries the whole journey.
He came to a mountain, atop of witch was a glistening castle, gold and silver, a heavenly sight.
He began his climb. He traveled for another eleven moons, reaching the top near the age of maturity.
The gods asked of his business there and he explained that he wanted to be strong, he wanted to defeat predators and concur the elements just as they did.
With days and days of gathering and working he collected enough gold from the citizens of this grand palace to pay for his training.
It began with trials of fire, water, and earth. Braving the flames, swimming the seas, and climbing many a mountain.
Moons and moons went by and he was finally mature, and had been trained to full potential.
He was powerful, indestructible, immortal...
But it was all too much... The gods were afraid that he would tell someone of what happened, that more would come, wishing to be trained and so they vowed to defeat him.
A long while after Mordeca was hunting in the waters and was attacked by a sea dragon, vicious and deadly.
Moons of battling went by and he finally won, decapitating the dragon and stainging his paws and arms red.
One day, Mordeca was adventuring through a desert in search of treasure, and a Phoenix rose from the dark sands and attacked.Moons of battling went by and Mordeca defeated the Pheonix. He cut off its wings with his claws and snapped his neck. He tore it up and using the spikes on his back, he carried chinks of the meat back home to eat.
Wandering a meadow for the sake of pure bliss, there was a large creature, the same kind that had killed his parents.
This was no trouble with his new found strength. He killed the beast viciously, blood flying everywhere, staining his main as he strangled the bloody creature. He sat, tail laid in a puddle of blood, as he cleaned the mess off of his paws, ans the sun glistened down.
His fur now stained by the blood of the gods...
