Full Reference | Site Page
Name: Colette
→ Origin and meaning: The baby girl name Colette is pronounced as KowLEHT †. Colette has its origins in the Old Greek language. It is used largely in English and French. The name Colette means 'victory of the people'. It is derived from nike which means 'victory' ; laos 'people'. The name developed as a feminine diminutive of the medieval name Col or Colle, and it has been used by English speakers since the 13th century. Saint Colette (1381-1447) was the founder of the order of Colettine Poor Clares or Clarisses. The name was later promoted by the fame of the French novelist known by her pen name, Colette (1873-1954). (taken from here.)
Nickname: Grape juice, because of her hair.
→ Origin and meaning: This comes from my sister. When she had purple hair, her nickname was grape juice, and I immediately thought of her when I saw Colette.
Gender: Female, obviously.
"If you thought I was a dude, I'm seriously going to hurt you."
Breed/Species: Domesticated Canine; to be specific, an Australian Cattle Dog/German Shepherd mix.
-- Character Development --
Personality: strong | level-minded | independent | feminist | high-toned | motherly}
.:strong:.
Colette can be described as strong, brave, fearless...
And a tad bit loony.
This gal loves to pick fights. She is a total instigator, and will commonly attack without warning.
.:level-minded:.
Grape juice, despite her rough and rowdy nature, is the peacemaker of the group. She always keeps a cool head, and will try to keep her cool when she is teased or threatened. She goes by three strikes you're out: one strike, she says calmly, "That's one." Two strikes, she says loudly, "THAT'S TWO." Three strikes, she's killing you while screaming, "THAT WAS THREE."
.:independent:.
Colette is described as a very independent young gal, loving nothing more than to go her own way. She likes to follow in her own paw steps.
.:feminist:.
Colette hates it when you're a male chauvinistic pig about many things. She'll try to prove to you that women can be just as good as men, even if it means going against her calm mind to fight you.
.:high-toned:.
Despite her rambunctious attitude, Colette is very high-toned and hates to get her fur wet, matted, tangled, or dirty. She's pretty much a girly-girl when it comes to her fur and hair.
.:motherly:.
She calls everyone in her little group "baby," and will try to keep them safe, even if it means putting herself in the way of danger. Colette loves her "children," as she calls them, and won't hesitate to snap your neck if you try to harm them.
Likes: Her hair, being complimented, drawing, being pretty, make-up, her children, cute things, and cows.
Dislikes: Being dirty, being insulted, writing, ugly animals, and squids. They freak her out.
