Poem or Story: A flash of gold, a streak of ivory, and she was gone. The mare fled, thundering across rocky outcropping and weaving amongst the scruffy pines, her tail snapping behind her like a banner. She fled from conflict and the battles of territorial stallions, away from the lingering presence of humans, climbing up and away from all of that. The underbrush crackled under her flint-hard hooves, her barbs leaving fearsome scratches and furrows in the rich dark dirt that was trampled down below her hooves. Her blue eyes were the same color as a spring sky, but the heavens overhead right now were far from that clear baby blue.
Thunder sent a booming crack ringing through the bones of all the creatures who dwelled below, as lightning left its shining scar across the sky. The creamy-coated mare galloped on, running from the pounding tears that were soaking the earth behind her. With her shimmering coat and her fierce stride, barely outstripping the storm, it seemed as though the mare was bringing the wild winds and pouring rain herself.

Owner: Crazyh0tcakes
Name: Ophelia (Derived from Greek οφελος (ophelos) meaning "help")
Gender: Mare
Age: 2 years old
Height: 14hh
Poem or Story:
Rushing whispers,
Once so sweet,
Fleeting lies, which no ears meet.
Foreboding eyes retreat from life.
Rushing hooves,
Flying high.
Search a way to the sky.
Hallow cries,
which meet no ears,
Fight for life, and joy,
Not fear.

*Edit: I figured I should explain the poem a bit. To me she seems like a character with something unpleasant in her past. Her name Ophelia comes from Shakespeare's Hamlet where Ophelia is a tragic character who, after being mistreated by Hamlet, Kills herself. The poem is a little insight into her past.

Owner: Cloud24
Name: Trust
Gender: Mare
Age: 9
Height: 14hh
Poem or Story:

Trust

Trust had a very peaceful youth, full of love from her mother and all the other members of the herd. They often came rather close to a village
because many people put their old bread on a willow so the horses could eat them - and as she has been very interested in discovering everything unknown, once when she was older she went away from the herd to discover the humans and the horses living with them. She never understood why those horses did not try to escape, she wanted to know what was so good about living with humans to give up freedom for it.
So she went through the village, seeing horses that were punished by their owners, put into small boxes the whole day, horses that were forced to do something they did not want - and the more of such horses she met the less she understood them.
At the end of that day she saw an old stallion standing there with a human hugging him very dearly, talking to him with a gentle voice. They looked to peaceful together as if they would know each other ever since. After a while the human went away, letting the stallion stand there without any borders.
So she walked over to ask him why he decided to live with humans - he smiled as she asked that and said:
There are so many humans out there treating horses as if they had no own will, forcing them to anything they want. But if you get to know that one human, that accepts you as an own being and not just sonething to do sports with, that trusts you no matter what, then you will have the best life of all and have more fun with this human than you'll ever have anywhere else! So go and try to find this one - its worth searching for!
And from this moment on she came back to the village from time to time looking for someone like this...
Image

When all the trees have been cut down,
when all the animals have been hunted,
when all the waters are polluted,
when all the air is unsafe to breathe,
only then will you discover you cannot eat money.
