I hear things all through the night,
As if they whisper for the light,
Asking if they could sing a tune,
So that they could see you soon.

There never seems to be enough time,
For the godfather clock to chime,
To tell me if the nights begun,
So that we can have some fun.

I go outside to the night,
To see the animals who want a bite,
Of the plant that only grows,
When the moonlight glows.

I try to go to sleep,
Yet outside they bleep,
About the things they wanna do,
Even though their tired too.

I look out through the window,
To see if there is a widow,
Yet all I see is the ghost man,
Smiling as if his life just began.
