~Kione as a kit~
A small orange and red fox kit lay in a nest of moss and leaves before a mother of solid orange. The young week old kit had no idea that his parent's love was taboo. His mother holding the element light, his father the exact same as the kit itself, darkness and metal. The grey father bent down and grabbed the kit roughly by the scruff. "You useless thing, Kione. The last to survive." Kione felt his father turn his head back at the now lifeless ball of orange fur. From his new vantage point in his father's mouth, Kione could make out two small shapes wrapped in the curl of the females tail; a small gray female with black markings in the form of stripes, and another small female with a likeness so like his father's that Kione had to know they where is sisters. With a hopeful squeal he smiled, his tail wagging. Then he was jerked back around as his father started to move again. "They are dead, Kione. You and your sisters killed your mother, now your sisters are dead." Kione's mouth dropped open at the words mumbled around his scruff. Dead? But... But I never did anything!' A few minuets later, Kione was dropped in a patch of leaves, his father settling down beside him. "Tomorrow I will find another to feed you." Kione said nothing, he only curled into the cruve of his father's belly, wishing that today was just a nightmare. But the young kit awoke to a dark paw prodding him; he sighed. "So it wasn't a dream.." "Stay here, Kione. I will return soon." Sure enough his father returned with a blue female, Kione didn't know her, nor did he know the small kit running after her. "This is Air, Kione. She is your new mother." Kione shook his head, but the milk scent coming from the female was mouth watering. As she settled down, Kione let loose yet another sigh and settled down by the small kit already suckling.
~Kione as a young teen~
Kione and his father stayed with Air and her daughter Breeze for around half a year. Kione's father had never showed love or affection to the young kit, and Kione never accepted Air as his mother, nor Breeze as his sister, so he grew up alone. Kione frequently would pull in on himself, never speaking for days. As soon as he was old enough to hunt for himself and control his elements, Kione left what was supposed to be his family. He wondered for days, until he came to small den in the bottom of a tree. Here Kione made his home. Though he doesn't wish to hold true to his element's norm, his raising has made him so. And still, Kione sees the limp shapes of his mother and sisters as his father carries him away. The image haunts his every waking hour.
~Kione as an adult-Present~
Kione still calls his tree-den home. He hasn't seen Air, Breeze or his father again; doesn't plan to. He only wishes the image of his mother and sisters could vanish as easily as the fox who had raised him, and the male who was supposed to be his father did.
Kione padded from his den, his gray eyes adjusting to the light of morning. Suddenly a sweet scent was brought to him; a scent that made him think of warm bellies, sweet milk, and hatred. Growling he turned. "What is it you want, Breeze?" The timid female shrank back from Kione's piercing gaze. Smiling evilly to himself, Kione called upon shadows to surround the female. "K-Kione! Stop! I have news of Air and your father!" Letting the shadows fall back, Kione sat and watched her. "What? Has my father finally stopped moping about my mother?" "Yes. But not in the sense you are thinking." Breeze paused, then sighed as a tear fell, for it as not only Kione's loss, no matter how little he cared. "Your father and my mother are dead, Kione. Killed by rouge dogs." Kione couldn't bring hinself to find any emotions to give. He merely shrugged and turned to pad into the grass, but not after calling a warning to Breeze. "Off my land by sunhigh, or it wont be pretty."
