Name of Wysper:
Dalla, which means "luminosity," "brilliance," and "light" in Icelandic. Considering she looks as though she is a part of (or even the source of/an imitation of) the Aurora Borealis itself, I thought about something like "Auryn" or something like that, even just plain "Aurora," for quite some time. But "Dalla" sounds better, just sounds right, to me. It's older, it's got trure meaning, and a connection to all that she is. I like it.
Gender:
Female
Personality:
Y'know Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter? Kinda like her, I think. Very airy and dreamy. But considering her hyper nature, as given in your description, she would have a tendency to be very happy and, yes, even hyper. More on that in the "Habits" section. I imagine her voice would be very light (for lack of a better word; no pun intended) and wispy and maybe even sort of echo-y; at least, that's how I think of the noise light would make, or at least very feminine light. She would also be very imaginative, also like Luna Lovegood; this also translates to a habit. She is very gentle with all creatures, and seemingly couldn't hurt a fly; honestly, I have no idea whether that's true or not. I've never seen (or imagined) her in a situation where she would most likely need to be aggressive, much less purposefully harm another living being. And a situation like that probably would never arise, anyway; she is as swift as light, as untouchable as the rays of the sun shining through the trees.
Habits:
- She has hyper "explosions," where the happiness just bubbles up in her seemingly randomly, and she just bursts with color. I suppose it has something to do with the exact amount of light she takes in; lots of light equals excess energy, excess energy needs an outlet. Thus, spontaneous periods of elation, hyperness, and rainbow light, flickering everywhere. But I don't imagine it would be too blinding. *takes sunglasses just in case*
- Very imaginative, to the point of being distracted as well as saying somewhat unrealistic (or at least somewhat improbably) things. For example, if she were in a conversation about shadow creatures (the main antagonist in my story; sort of like zombies and dementors put together) with someone, she might slip up and say something about. "What if they get smart, and can predict where we travel? We'd probably die. *giggle*"
- She likes high places. Don't know why. ._. Maybe.... 'cause light..... from above.... shines on the highest places first....? No, really, she just seems to enjoy high places. Sure, she can get a lotta sun up there, but she just likes it...
- Hides away on cloudy days, which is understandable. Days with no light are kinda sad. Plus, she can't really get much light from what little shines through the clouds, so she probably runs a bit low on energy on days like that. Winter is miserable for her, poor little thing. Guess she just has to travel south for the winter, haha. c;
Other: Remember how I told you about my story before, when I entered for my Beginnings Wysper? Well, as soon as I saw this one, I wanted her, too. I wanted them both. I think I'd be happy with just these two. Anyway, I also have an idea for this girl's role in my story; I just can't get this one scene out of my head. Night, everything is dark. Forest, trees all around, the trunks are only just visible. And then, this light appears. It approaches through the trees, weaving through the undergrowth. It's so bright. As it gets closer, it almost seems to be... dancing.
Yes. I can't stop thinking about a really awesome scene like this. I would love so much to write about that.
