As a bit of a get well present her aunt gave her a sapphire necklace that used to belong to her mother... but this just made the predicament worse because every time she looked into the depths of the sapphire she thought she saw her parents, everyone thought she was hallucinating from grief but she knew better and was eventually sent away into isolation. As the years went on she would yearn to see the faces again in the sapphire, but her attempts were in vain. In case her desire came true she wore the necklace always.
