A picture and/or story that reminds you of smoke and/or fire:This, a beautiful, almost apocalyptic picture that reminds me of this PTD. She looks like the beginning of an apocalypse, ready to create ghaos like thick smoke from a vulcano that's not yet erupting.
I live in Holland, a small land that would dissapear compleatly if the sea level would rise a meter or two. Not so long ago I found a pearl - I already have two, a purple and a white one, torn them from a shell myself - but this one was different: it was black, black like the darkest shadow in a night without a moon or stars. First Ididn't believe it was a pearl so I rubbed it against one of my own. When I felt it was slightly rough I was convinced it was real. I found the black pearl so beautiful that I decided to make a neckle out of it. I've wore it untill something unexpected happened: It was when I went to Italy with my parents. We visited Pompeï, a village that had been suprised in a night of the year 79 by the nearby vulcano, the Vesuvius. The whole village was overflooded with toxin gasses and ash, suffocating everyone in the village in their sleep. All that's left of the villagers are perfectly presumed sleeping bodies. Forever cought in the action they did just before the vulcano erupted.
I was looking at one of those bodies, it laid on it's side, compleatly grey like it was of stone. With one hand under it's head. On the glass 'terrarium' that protected the body from tourists fingers was a sign on wich stood that it was a man in his mid 30s and that his dead was very quick and painless. He sure looked like he died peacefully. When I moved my head closer to the sleeping man my pearl necklace slid foreward and ticked against the glass. I could swear I saw the ribcase of the body moving, like the man took a breath. Shocked I tumbled backwards. "We're going", my mom laid a hand on my shoulder and almost made me jump out of my skin. I nodded and followed her. Just before we left the sleeping village I turned around to look at the Vesuvius, wondering how many lives it had taken. And for a moment it looked like it was smoking again, just like back in the year 79. The villagers of pompeï lived here for very long and had seen the vulcano smoking earlier, no reason for panick.
Why you would like this dragon:The power to bring back the death, when I read that sentance I was taken. I LOVE living dead stuff. Besides that, the smoke and colors fit perfectly. It gives her a scary and beautiful look.
