Postby foreign-potato » Tue Dec 04, 2012 11:06 am

Somewhere over the rainbow theirs a place called Derpyland.
Derpyland is full of rainbows and rainbow blossoms.
And in the land is Derpycorns witch is long bodied unicorns with long tails and horns like random items.
Derpycorns can be very cute and sweet but some times some Derpycorns can be moody so you must take care of them.

Story about how she got her horn:
It's more of a story of how she became a Derpycorn.
You know the story of Excalibur? And how it was planted soundly inside a huge boulder, which stubbornly held onto the sword like it was guarding it from hands unworthy to touch it's handle. Well, supposedly, the sword would slip away with ease, away from the boulder, if one of pure heart simply touched it. Like, how Arthur got in possession of the blade?
The story's not entirely correct. And by that I mean, nobody wished to say "the boulder was magicked into a Derpycorn, who ran off with Excalibur sticking mockingly out of it's mane, with knights upon knights trailing after it."

Merlin had a light heart, and a mind that wasn't focused upon the world he stepped on, but rather had adventures in space and among the stars. He was a strange man, no one could deny, and a strange man is the perfect one to wield magic, but also the worst. You see, magic runs purely on imagination, it's whatever you make of it, and Merlin had to limit himself or else his magic would go beyond his reach and out of control. So, because of this, Merlin wasn't really on the Earth most of the time, but rather exploring the depths of his mind and learning the secrets to controlling his magic.

Each day, Merlin would travel in the villages near the castle, to clear his mind from any stray thoughts still tempting his mind. There was always the urges, the "create me urges", but the incidents where he did create something was the voice of reason. Goose that laid gold eggs, magic beans that grew towering roots, and other such ridiculous inventions that only caused trouble and inconvenience. But seeing the sun high above the Earth, and the daily sounds of clanking tools and clopping hooves among the whispering wind was enough to brush away any unwanted concepts.
Most of the noise that filled one village came from a crowd of line persons, shouting impatiently for their turn.

"Get out of the way, you already tried that!"

"Oi, I'm not giving up yet, I swear it's budgin'!"

"Give up kid, you're never going ta pull that sword out from the stone."

"That's right, because I will! I've known this all my life, I am the true king!"

"You haf ta be dreamin', because I'm the true king!"

The squabbling was muted, it didn't have a chance to be registered by Merlin, because he was memorized by the stone with Excalibur peaking out from it. Just a shining sliver of the blade was visible, the rest hidden away with care by the boulder standing proudly among the crowd of persons lustful to have the sword in their possession. The sword had stolen Merlin's fascinated, and his easily distracted mind had started to formulate a string of thoughts.

"Just who is the real true king?", Merlin wondered in his mind, now completely disconnected with the rest of the world, thinking only of the blade as if the blade was the only thing in the world.

"What will happen when the blade is finally pulled out from the stone?

What if I don't even live to watch someone carry Excalibur in their hands?"

What ifs, maybes, could be's and other such hypotheticals all echoed in his mind until a strange thought crossed his mind. A thought childish and trivial, completely irrelevant and absurd made bounced in his head.

"That sword is perched on the rock's head like it's some sort of unicorn. How silly."

As that final thought regarding the boulder and it's possession passed away, Merlin realized that he had been standing there for quite some time and turned away, wanting to continue his walk. As he did, an odd, out of place silent descended upon the village. All of the meaningless shouts and vain competition for Excalibur suddenly died out, and was replaced by gasps of disbelief. Merlin frozen in place, realizing that he had made another terrible mistake.

"WHAT IN THE BLOODY H-"

"Where is Excalibur?"

"It's in that stupid beast's mane! After it!"

A deafening roar, so great and thundering the world shook with fear, erupted as Merlin took a pained peak over his shoulder. A lavender blur shot past, sending him to the ground. A mob of thundering feet stepped over the stunned wizard, as Merlin begged everyone to stop.

"Please, I can fix this!"

But his voice was trampled by the angered screams and unstoppable train of feet that flatted everything in their path. Chaos spread to over the town, as flames, like vile vultures, sat on the rooftops of the several houses with a firey gaze. Blankets of thick smoke, floating about like earthbound spirits, obscured the sun. Like glowing snakes, the wavering light of the torches carried by the flailing arms of the angry villages slithered over their heads.

"Mommy, look, a Derpycorn!"

"Arthur, get back here this instant!"

As the boy ran after the crowd of knights and disgruntled people, Merlin was left alone in the village with one thought on his mind.

"I can't believe I did that again."

Edit: Wait, it has a crystal horn?

story about how she got her horn:
Kristály got her horn when she was adventuring....

"I am going to go adventuring!!" Kristály screamed to herself as she padded out her home and into the snow. "Hmmmmm, where should I go?" she thought to herself looking over at a hole in the ground. "AY! Yes, I shall go into the mines." Kristály whispered with a smirk. She walked in, "I need some light, but I can see a little..." She walked further, "Wow, what's that light!?" She galloped towards it. She tripped and hit her head and fainted. She later woke up and felt her head. "Whoa! I have one of those crystal thingies on my head!" She tried pulling at it, but it didn't budge. "Hmmm, well, I needed a horn anyway. After all it displays what I do for a living, making BEAUTIFUL jewlery out of the finest gems!" She walked out proudly trotting along.

"Well, that's how I got it, long story short anyway..."

story about how she got her horn:

It all starts with Amethyst's simple history. Her father and mother were a bit old to be having foals, and by the time she was born he father had passed. Her mother, however, still had a few years of life left in her, and she finally bore Amethyst, who was, at the time, called Zilpha. Sadly, after about a month, her mother died a tragic death of being killed by a lynx. Young Zilpha managed to escape. After another month of grief, she realized it was time to move on, so she went to explore the rest of the mountain turf. She went for days and days, and she eventually fell into a huge cave. She was knocked out for awhile, and when she finally arose she'd lost her memory. The first thing she saw were sparkling, beautiful bundles of crystals and amethysts. From then on, she referred to herself as "Amethyst." She made her home in the cave, and thought of the sparkling minerals as her "friends." Ad eventually, one morning when she woke up from a good night's rest, had a Shimmering amethyst horn atop her head. She still does not have any unicorn friends, but she has the minerals. She loves them very much and is really happy.

She's beautiful! <3

name: Shasta
gender: Female
story about how she got her horn:
Shasta's hooves clipped gently along the snowy ground, gazing at the rainbows that filled the air and the blossoms that peeked through the snow. She was waiting for her horn to grow in. A weak sigh escaped her lips. Her horn was taking a very long time to grow. She headed towards the mountains, long tail helping her balance on the way up. A sudden headache struck her, and she stumbled sideways into the snow and flowers. She stumbled to her feet and trudged onward, her head throbbing. Stupid horn wouldn't grow in, and now her head was throbbing. Brilliant. Shasta was so fed up she didn't notice the frozen pond ahead of her. She spun in a circle as her hooves lost traction, and fell face first into the ice. "Great." she mumbled to herself, trying to stand. Her head was stuck to the ice. "Come on! You have to be kidding me!" Shasta's voice rose in anger and she pulled as forcefully as she could. Shasta attempted to balance on her hind feet, but it was too late. The young derpycorn ended up on her back. When she rolled over and stood up, Shasta gazed at herself in the ice. Wet, ragged, and fluffy from the winter cold. But with a short crystal horn sticking straight out of it's centre. A playful grin spread across Shasta's face, and she bounded down the mountainside to show off to her friends. "I have a horn." she murmured quietly to herself. "I have a horn!" Her voice echoed across the mountains, the valleys, and the rainbows. She finally had her horn, the thing that made her unique. Finally, she was like everyone else, and more herself. She was finally a true derpycorn.
