Candy.
I think I chose this name because it was the first thing I thought of when I saw her, and she is, after all, a Candy Corn Rune. I also used to know a cat named Candy, who I always loved, even though she wasn't mine. Candy was a grumpy, calico cat, who hissed at almost everybody, but I enjoyed petting her and playing with her when ever I got to see her, and so having a Rune with the name Candy would make me think of one of my favorites cats, and also one of my favorite things to eat! I didn't want to name her Candy Corn, and if I named her Gumdrop, my Thistle Rune might try to eat her (Sparrow loves gumdrops.) So I named her Candy, and I think it fits the little girl quite well. There are so many types of candy, and one of them being candy corn. I think candy corn is one of the best candies in my mind, and is my favorite. Candy is basically a shorted version of Candy Corn. I really like the name, as simple as it is, and I hope you like it, too.
Gender:
Female
Personality:
Kind.
Candy is a very kind Rune. She hates to see anyone fighting, or someone being mean to another person. She once helped to rescue an injured finch from a stray tabby cat, flinging herself at the cat to rescue the bird. Trinket helped her rescue the bird, and being a collie, he quickly scared away the cat and the bird was okay. She is defiantly a very kind Rune, who is always willing to help.
Happy.
Candy is a happy little Rune, who is almost never sad, and the only time she is un happy is when there is a big storm. She is always trying to cheer sad people up, either by flying around and chirping, or sitting on their should giving a soft, quiet chirp, or fixing them some pumpkin seeds and gumdrops. Who wouldn't be cheered up be sweets? Candy is defiantly a happy Rune.
Friendly.
Candy is quite a friendly Rune, who enjoys making new friends and meeting new people. She spends most of her time with Lemon, Cattail, and Trinket, since Tangerine is scared of young Runes, Gemstone mostly stays at his cave, and Sparrow spends most of her time in the woodlands. When she does meet new people and Runes though, she is always friendly.
Sweet.
Candy is very, very sweet. No, don't try to eat her, I meant her personality is sweet. She is defiantly not a mean or rude Rune, and if you called her one you would be lying. She is instead a very sweet Rune, who dashes over to see if the a person's okay if the person even just stumbles over a stick, or if you cough she looks over to see if you're okay.
Loveable.
Who wouldn't love that sweet face, beautiful colors, darling design, and sweet personality? Candy is a loveable Rune, and her big eyes could melt anyone's heart. She is never mean or rude, she is kind and sweet, and she is a small Rune, who loves to perch on Lemon's shoulder and chew on gumdrops. She even sometimes helps get rid of any moths in the house. She is for sure a loveable Rune.
Quite a good flyer.
Even though she is a young Rune, Candy is a good flyer, who can easily glide and fly through the air, and though she prefers not to, can fly easily on a windy day, coasting on air currents and chirping. She doesn't like to not fly for too long, and can easily fly through Lemon's cottage if it's raining or storming and she can't go outside.
Likes:
Candy.
Candy loves candy, and any type of sugary treat. She lives off sugar, and the only thing other then candy and sugar that she really likes to eat is pumpkin pie and even just plain pumpkin. She also drinks sugary drinks, though does drink water, too.
Daydreaming.
You can often find Candy drifting off asleep in the middle of the day, and she almost always daydreams during her little "naps." She loves daydreaming, and she finds it very relaxing.
Roses.
Candy loves roses. She loves how they smell, look, and how delicate and soft the petals are. Lemon once bought some roses from the market, and put them in a vase in her cottage. Even when they dried up, Candy wouldn't let Lemon get rid of them.
Birds.
Candy loves birds. She is quite fascinated by them, and loves to fly with sparrows and other small birds, most being about the same size as Candy. She loves to glide and fly through the sky with them, chirping happily.
Autumn.
Candy's favorite season, of course, is autumn. She loves to fly through the cool, windy air, and pounce on leaves, and eat candy corn and pumpkin pie and pumpkin seeds and... well, basically anything to do with autumn!
Pumpkins.
Candy loves pumpkins. Pumpkin pie, pumpkin seeds, pumpkin carving, and playing among pumpkin patches. She is for sure one pumpkin loving Rune, who can't go out without pumpkin for too long.
Dislikes:
Storms.
Candy not only doesn't like storms, she is scared of them. To her, the sound of thunder, the flash of lightning, and the pounding of the rain is very scary. During storms, Candy will not leave Lemon's shoulder and chirps at every flash of lightning and rumble of thunder. She for sure does not like storms.
Being without sugar or pumpkin.
To Candy, being without sugar is being without food. Once, Lemon ran out of sugar and candy, and before she could get to the market, Candy got so hungry she "attacked" a pumpkin Lemon was going to carve. It wasn't sugar, but at least it was a pumpkin, her second favorite thing to eat.
Crickets.
Candy does not like crickets. With all the hopping and the chirping, they are scary and annoying. If she sees a cricket, she starts chirping like crazy, flapping her wings, trying to scare the bug away.
Getting wet.
Candy hates getting wet. Since she mostly stays at Lemon's cottage, she doesn't get wet often, though once she and Lemon were taking a walk in the woodlands and it started raining. Candy got quite wet and annoyed.
Very bright colors.
Candy does not like very bright colors, such as neon bright colors, or lights that flash on and off. They hurt her eyes and sometimes make her dizzy. She simply can't stand very bright colors.
Mean people.
Candy does not like mean people and bullies. Being the kind Rune that she is, she also hates seeing people fight, and if she sees someone being mean to another person, she flies over and tries to scare off the person being mean, which is quite hard, since she is a small, sweet Baby Candy Corn Rune.
Why do you wish to have him/her:
When I saw her, I fell instantly in love with her. Candy corn has always been my favorite candy, and almost everyone I know loves it, too. Candy corn is small, delicious, and I could eat a million of them. This little girl looks so sweet, and she is a Candy Corn Rune, how could I not try for her? I have been looking out for a baby Rune, but none have really caught my eye. This girl immediately did, and I started filling out a form for her almost as soon as I saw her. Every time I look at her, I want to eat some candy corn, which I don't have at the moment.
Usually, though, I have a bag of candy corn at the ready, as it is very delicious, and, as I said before, my favorite candy. I just love everything about this girl. The fact that she is a Candy Corn Rune, her colors, her design, and her simple complexity. I know how hard you work on all of the Runes you make, and so I will put lots of effort into my form to make sure I hopefully have a chance at winning this Rune. I have never tried for a baby Rune before, but I really hope to get this girl. Thank you for the chance at getting this darling Rune.
Where will you keep him/her:
Candy would be displayed in my signature every now and then, and, of course, be added to my Rune Dragon thread. I would do tons of art of her and order art of her, love her to pieces, and never leave her to gather dust. In real life, I have a notebook which is filled with sketches of my characters, and she would be drawn in my notebook a lot, along with my other Runes and characters. I would write stories about her every now and then, and draw her traditionally and digitally, and sketch her in my notebook. I would do almost everything with her.
Any Quirks:
Candy sometimes makes Lemon get up early, at dawn, to go for a walk in the woodlands. Candy loves the woodlands during dawn. It's cool, and the air is misty and cool. Candy loves to perch on Lemon's shoulder or fly next to her, and watch the deer grazing, listening to the birds chirping, and watching the sun rise. Lemon walks over to Gemstone's cave, and he comes out and catches any bugs flying around, while Lemon sketches in her notebook, and Candy flies just a little ways above Lemon and Gemstone, and sometimes Sparrow, Tangerine, Trinket and Cattail, who sometimes come on he "dawn walks" with Lemon and Candy. Candy only insists on taking a dawn walk twice a week, sometimes more, but Lemon does enjoy walking at dawn, and Candy loves to fly through the cool air and watch the sun rise. Though, Candy does insist, after every dawn walk, to go to the market and look around at what people are selling.
Candy, for some odd reason, has a tendency to eat moths. The first time Lemon saw Candy eating a moth, she was a little surprised that a sugar loving Rune would be eating a bug. She only eats one once in a while, but when she does, she enjoys the moth as much as she enjoys sugary treats and pumpkin. One time, Cattail had caught a moth, and Candy stole it from him. He wasn't sad that his moth had been stolen, and instead just found another. Maybe Candy likes the crunchiness of the moth, no one really knows, but for sure she likes to eat moths once in a while.
Candy loves to make bouquets. She will pick a bunch of flowers, and then arrange them carefully in a vase along with the roses Lemon almost always has to keep in the house for Candy. She will bite off stems that are too long, peel off petals that are starting to dry out, and rearrange the bouquets every now and then, take out old flowers, add new flowers, and then once the old bouquet dries out, she makes a new one. She is always very careful around the flower, and has never accidentally broken a stem, or knocked over a bouquet. She loves flowers, her favorite being roses, but no one really knows why she is such a master bouquet arranger.
Story:
It was a stormy, wet, rainy day. Thunder rumble and lightning flashed, and Tangerine, who loves storms, was outside, happily chasing lizards in the rain. Sparrow was probably somewhere in the woodlands, and Gemstone was back at his cave. Cattail was stretched out on the couch, and Trinket was sprawled on the floor next to the couch. I was just sitting down next to Cattail when he jumped off the couch and raced into the kitchen, tail and ears twitching.
I went into the kitchen, but nothing was there. I shook my head and went back to the couch. Cattail meowed and jumped up on the counter, but I ignored him. He probably had storm anxiety. Then he started pawing at the window. "Cattail, what is it?" I asked him. Cattail just meowed and continued looking out the window. Suddenly, I heard a loud screech.
I dashed over to the window, and spotted Tangerine. The golden retriever sized Rune was being chased by something small, that looked oddly like candy corn. The thing quickly caught up to Tangerine and landed onto Tangerine's had, nestling into he feathers on her head. Tangerine looked terrified, and when she dashed by the window I found out why. he thing was a baby Rune!
I dashed outside, just as thunder boomed and the baby Rune let out a terrified chirp. It was scared of the storm. I chased Tangerine, until I finally managed to snatch the Rune off of her head. The Rune, which was soaking wet, hopped onto my shoulder, letting out small, quiet chirps. I took the baby Rune inside, and figured out it was a Baby Candy Corn Rune. The little thing was adorable, and it loved perching on my shoulder while I handed it gumdrops, which it seemed to love.
The baby Rune let out terrified chirps every time lightning flashed and thunder boomed, but soon the storm was over. I had dried off the Rune with a towel, and so she was now dry and warm, and perched on my shoulder until the storm was over. When it ended, the little Rune hopped off my shoulder and flew quickly around the cottage, exploring. For such a small Rune, she was sure a good flyer!
The Rune soon settled down next to me on the couch, and Cattail jumped over and sniffed the little Rune curiously. He then trotted away, uninterested in the small sleeping creature. Trinket, however, seemed to like the Rune. He sniffed her, and then licked her head. The Rune woke up, chirped, and hopped onto Trinket's head. Trinket didn't mind, and instead waited until the Rune flew off his head.
The Rune flapped her wings and chirped, flying around the cottage at top speed, and Trinket began chasing her for fun. I sighed and shook my head as Trinket knocked over a basket with a couple apples in it. It was dark out, and so soon both Rune and collie settled down again, and went to sleep. I picked up the apples, and smiled as I watched the Rune curl up between Trinket's front paws before falling back asleep.

The next day
---
It was a chilly, but it wasn't raining or storming. I woke up, and opened one of the windows. Gemstone flew inside and perched on one of the chairs in the kitchen and chirped, which was unusual, since he normally stayed at his cave. I suddenly realized I didn't see the Candy Corn Rune, who I decided I would call Candy, was nowhere in sight.
I looked all around the house for her. What if she had gotten outside? It wasn't safe for a little Rune like her to be out alone, what with all the vampire Runes around. I looked everywhere for Candy, but didn't see her anywhere! Suddenly, I heard Cattail lightly jump onto the kitchen counter.
I went over to the kitchen and looked over at the jar of gumdrops. The lid was off of it, and I peered inside I picked Candy out of the jar. She was happily chewing on the gumdrops. I put her down on the counter and gave her a few more gumdrops, which she ate happily.
Then, we set off, into the woodlands to look for Sparrow, who had been bitten. I had spotted her twice, but each time she vanished into the thick underbrush before I could even say a word. I put Candy into my bag, and Trinket padded at my side while Gemstone perched on my shoulder. Cattail was at my cottage and I had no idea where Tangerine was.
The wind suddenly picked up, rustling the leaves of the trees. And still no sign of Sparrow. When we reached the edge of the woodlands, Gemstone chirped and flew back to his cave. "Bye, Gemstone!" I said, and he chirped again before vanishing into his cave. Just then, Candy flew out of the bag, and flew after a falling leaf quickly.
I dashed after the little Rune, but stopped suddenly when I spotted a flash of green, red, and yellow. It was Sparrow! The Thistle Rune was crouched in a bush, waiting for Candy to fly by. I couldn't let Sparrow bite Candy! I dashed over, but Sparrow's hiss made me stop. Claws glinting, the Thistle Rune jumped into the air, and fly straight towards Candy!
Candy had caught the leaf, and was playfully shredding it with her little claws, while Sparrow flew quickly towards her. Sparrow landed behind Candy and folded her wings around the little Rune, and Candy let out a startled chirp. I tried to go over and grab Sparrow, and Trinket growled at the Thistle Rune, but Sparrow was still folding her wings around Candy.
I suddenly heard a loud screech, and Tangerine burst out of the bushes. She snapped at Sparrow, flaring her wings. Trinket went over to Tangerine, and growled at Sparrow. The Thistle Rune let out a loud growl, but then slowly spread her wings and flew off, knowing that Tangerine's claws and teeth were deadly, and Trinket could injure Sparrow if he needed too.
I dashed over and picked up Candy. The little Rune was not bitten, but quite shaken. I carried her back to my cottage, Trinket following us, looking around to make sure Sparrow didn't try to attack again. Tangerine had dashed back into the woodlands.
Back at my cottage, I went inside and closed the door. Candy flew over and looked over a vase of roses on the kitchen table. She seemed to have recovered from being attacked by Sparrow, and began to rearrange the roses into a beautiful bouquet, the smaller roses surrounding the larger ones.
Trinket was now sleeping on the couch, and Cattail was playing with some leaves that had found their way into the cottage. Candy was still looking over the roses, but now was munching on gumdrops too. I smiled and looked around the cottage. We still hadn't caught Sparrow, but that was okay for the moment.
Candy, who had suddenly gotten full of energy, was now flying around the house at top speed. Trinket was chasing her, but at least this time didn't knock anything over. They chased each other for almost an hour, but Candy then got bored and perched on the edge of the couch. I sat next to her and Trinket, and started to sketch in my notebook. It sure had been a crazy day.
