Name Meaning and/or Origin:
Derived from Leilani, which means 'heavenly flower.' I didn't want any sissy, overly-cute Mary-Sue characters, but I was really looking for a name that 1} showed her shyness/cowardliness, not her gender or purple colors, hence why I didn't pick 'lilac' or 'lavender' and 2} showed something that represented an important part of my life, my religion. Just looking at the name 'Lei' won't do that, but in my mind, I'll remember why I picked it.

Personality:
Lei is shy, so she hides in the background and stutters when she's spoken to. Unlikely to make friends unless someone she trusts introduces her to that person. She's been known to be cowardly, but if she had to, she could summon up enough courage to do something for someone she loves. Other than that, count her out of every reckless adventure or extravagant risk. Just watching horror movies gives her nightmares for weeks.
Around people she's used to, Lei is much more natural, but still isn't a talkative person. People who just met her aren't likely to hear anything but nervous laughter until she's around her childhood friends. During this time, she's giggly, jumpy, and borders hyper. She can also show her anger in her attempts to prank, but as of yet, she's not had a very successful time with it.
