Story:The edges turned blue becuase he was freezing cold. His mother went to a cold climate with roots(still in egg) because she was being chased by another creature.So for protection she left her home to find a new one. She slowly weakened and struggled to survive. With her baby freezing and almost frozen the edges slowly turned blue. Roots was still alive. His mother though starving and cold slowly died trying to protect her only baby.The mother has died. It sounds sad,but luckily someone found the egg and the dead mother. They buried the mother in respect and took the egg home. The person owned a nursery for unwanted animals or they were stranded. She took the egg and cared for it hoping one day Roots would be adopted.

story of how the egg's edges turned blue:
She was just a young hatchling when it happened. Hunters began to pour into their homeland, their parents where forced to flee. They took her younger sister and her to a cave across the sea. Lorani was told to look after her younger sister and when she hatches she wasa to tell her this story. Her parents where to return to help all the other dragons escape the dreaded hunters. Lorani never saw her parents again, and her sister never saw them at all. Lorani started having nightmares of pale skinned creatures with spiky spears and swords. She began to become paranoid and wouldn't leave until one night in her dreams an angel appeared amongst the pale faced men. The angel smiled to her and reassured her with a warm blue glow. A power was bistowed apon her like no other. She had been told htat all dragons recieved their powers in different ways and for different things. Her dragon was to reassure and nuture. She loved her younger sister and at night, her warm blue glow would soothe anything around. It was both calm and relaxing.
