~≈º What is an Irregular Flutter Ferret? º≈~
Flutter ferrets in general are very small. The largest specimens are usually around 12" long. Irregular Flutter Ferrets have the additional designation of being very lithe and slender. Their movement through the air has been described as serpentine, with the body rippling from side to side. They have two sets of diaphanous wings that work in tandem: one set at the shoulders and the other set at the pelvis. In addition, IFFs have tufts of diaphanous "feathers" in strategic places on their bodies to add to surface area and assist in flight.

Story: I opened my eyes with a large yawn. If you may not know, I am a Irregular Flutter Ferret. And being such a creature, I am very rare and very small. I have two sets of wings places on strategic places on my body to help my flight. Anyway, on to the story. I rubbed my eyes with two small, pink-ish paws. I fluttered my soft green wings and lofted into the air. I floated from my den in the hollow of a large oak, and soared up into the already bright blue sky. As normal, I instinctively glanced around me in all directions to make sure there were no predators such as hawks and other birds of prey. I heard my stomach growl, and I dropped a few feet closer to the ground. I was about a mouse-length from the ground now, and I began skirting around, in search of insects. When I sound a cricket, I scooped it up in my mouth and ate it quickly. That would suit me for a while. Now, got to get out of sight. I glanced about and spotted a tree with large pink flowers blooming in it's leaves. A perfect place for a pink Flutter Ferret like me to hide! I soared into the tree, then peered out from the flowers to make sure no one saw. I was safe. After I found a large patch of the pink flowers that could hold my weight, I landed gently, and curled up for a nap. Flying so much was hard work, and my body was to long to run on land, so I take naps a lot. And that is the short tale of my day; eating, hiding, napping, and repeating until nightfall.
