Story(at least a paragraph):
His out going manner took him into many discoveries, and also a lot of trouble. His mother of course was a worried soul and cared for him with a gentle manner. The young kit-kin wanted to explore, his mother course said "You can my sweet, Just take care of yourself and don't head to the land of grey and black!" His curiosity obviously got the better of him. The land of grey and black intrigued him and set his imagination wild. "Hmm...." He thought hard trying to picture this land, he wrapped his long fluffy tail around his feet as he sat in the dew ridden grass. He scratched his scaly nose. "I can't picture this strange land?" He exclaimed out loud. He stood and sat on a nearby stump and continued to think. "I'll just have to visit this land!" He jumped high in glee. Then landed saddened. What would his mother think?
He waited for dark and hopped outside. A shadow danced on the wall as he left the burrow. He raced on his tiny legs to the new land. He reached a dry river bed, the edge of his world and the beginning of another. He ruffled up his thick fur and pushed on. The land of grey and black stood before him. His eyes widened and he stood in awe. He wondered for several minutes. A shadow passed behind him, he turned and started to shake in fear. In the corner of his eye he saw a small shadowy figure. "Who are you? What do you want?" He tried to sound brave but his voice tweaked a bit higher than normal. "I am Avery, I live in these parts. As I can see your new around here, aren't you?" Ackerley gave a weak nod. "I have come to explore the land of grey and black." Avery smiled gently, "Is that what you call this place? This is the city." She chuckled lightly. "Follow me. I'll show you around." Ackerley did so, trucks raced past on the busy main streets.
"Watch out!" Avery shouted as a net was thrown out. Ackerley struggled as his horns pierced through the openings in the net. "Help!" He exclaimed. A dark face appeared directly in front of him. It smiled evilly. "Not seen one of these" His voice gruff and deep. The net was thrust forward towards another being. He whimpered quietly, "This is an unusual one isn't it?" The bag was taken into the hand of another and thrown into the back of a large metal truck.
The journey was long and bumpy. He bounced about and yelped in pain every now and then. "What will my mother think?" He began to cry, as he did so light flooded into the tiny space and he was once again pulled out. He was taken out the bag roughly and held by the tail. He thrust forward trying to jab them with his horns. The beings laughed at his futile attempts. Then a sweet gentle voice could be heard. "Okay, guys I think you've had enough fun. Don't you think?" The female being took him gently and held him under his front paws and under his rump. He felt safe and huddled into her chest like he did with his mother. Her fuzzy jacket was just like her fur, he clung tightly to the sweet memories.
Ackerley was taken through many corridors and strange openings. He was taken into a large room. Others like him were here, but all a little different. He was placed gently in a glass box. Other beings could be seen in front of him. He put his tiny paws up against the glass. His curiosity had taken him away from his family. If only he had listened. He would be a faithful companion to who ever was willing to adopt him.
Sorry for the long story, I guess I got a little carried away.
