story of hatching:
The egg was hidden in a small ditch, hidden under a leaf by it's mother before it hatched. A young girl stumbled over the hidden egg as she explored. Though she knew her parents wouldn't allow her to keep the pet she hid it in her room. She didn't know how to look after the egg or when it would hatch but everyday she checked on it. She had laid it on a small bed of cotton and placed a small piece of ripped fabric from one of her old dresses over it. She even left fresh cabbage leaves everyday incase it hatched while she was at nursery.
