Starry Nights-

The darkness never stirs.
It remains a still, inky depth
Forever lost in its own mystery.
Yet on this night, this lonely night
One solitary figure awakes
Its shadow striking the gentle clouds.

Her silken sides bear the song of the stars
Their dappled surface bright as the cosmos itself.
She finds herself alone
Alone on a a wide, rippling ocean
An ocean of purples and greys
Of waves and crests and thunder.

Her head lifts in a cry of infinate joy
She is not alone out in the cool grasp of night's embrace
No, she is merely among the soothing lullaby of the stars.
They whisper and she dances
Her hooves pound their moving stage
And thunder applauds her efforts.

She bows with the evident finish she offers
She lets the wind tousle her mane
Lets it play among her branching antlers
She pauses looking up the bright lights that dot her sky
She sighs, her night is over, she must rest
Ready to dance tomorrow.
