Feeb Artists Read This!

Postby Shadowbolt » Fri Aug 10, 2012 3:32 am

Well here its is, the guide Feeb! I figured it would be better to have a cute tiger sort of Feeb at the top of this while I helped explain to you artists.

When you design a Feeb be sure to take your time, don't rush!

Another thing, please please please use this on the Feebs page:

A Little Description About the Feeb:

Genes.

This is the first subject I would like to explain the genes on a Feeb. We will do this gene by gene, so here we go:

The A gene shows the eye colour of the Feeb.
AA = The Feeb Shows an exotic eye colour
Aa = The Feeb Shows a natural eye colour
aa = The Feeb Shows no eye colour, it is just black

So this gene is for Feebs that have an eye colour.

The basic Feeb only has pure black eyes and so if a Feeb only had black eyes you would use aa as the first gene.

Then we get into the colored eyes, if a Feeb has eyes that are green, blue or hazel/brown than that is a natural eye colour and so you would use the Aa gene.

If the feeb has eyes of any other colour, or the Feeb has multiple colours in their eye that would class as a Exotic eye colour and so you would use the AA gene.

The B gene shows the main body colour of the Feeb.
BB = The Feeb Shows an exotic body colour
Bb = The Feeb Shows a natural body colour
bb = The Feeb Shows a metallic body colour

Right, this gene is for the Feeb's base colour.

If a Feeb has a base colour that is natural like brown, black, white or grey then the B gene would be Bb.

Then A Feeb with bright neon colors like pink, blue, green, red, purple or yellow will have the BB gene as those are exotic colors.

Finally a Feeb with rustic colors like bronze, silver, gold will count as metallic colors and so you would use the bb gene.

The C gene shows the extra part's colour of the Feeb.
CC = The Feeb Shows an exotic part colour
Cc = The Feeb Shows a natural part colour
cc = The Feeb Shows a metalic part colour

So the C gene is for the extra parts to a Feeb. Say a Feeb has hair or claws or wings then you will have to use the C gene, yet if they don't have any add ons then the C gene will just be C.

If a Feeb has bright neon colors, for it's add ons, like pink, blue, red, yellow and green and so on then you should use the CC gene.

Then when a Feeb has natural colours like brown, black, white or grey then you should use the Cc gene

A Feeb with rustic add on colors like bronze, silver, gold will count as metallic colors and so you would use the cc gene.

The D gene shows the markings of the Feeb.
DD = The Feeb Shows Complex markings
Dd = The Feeb Shows Semi-complex markings
dd = The Feeb Shows Simple markings

Now, the D gene is all about the patterns on your Feeb, are they complex? Are they simple? Or are they just in between?

When a Feeb has very complicated markings which took you awhile to figure out how to draw you should give them the DD gene.

If a Feeb has somewhat complex markings then you should give it the Dd gene.

So then, if the Feeb has very simple markings or no markings at all you will give the Feeb a dd gene.

Four done, Severn More to go! Keep reading this took me forever to type!

E: The E gene Shows Wings
EE = The Feeb Shows wings
Ee = The Feeb Carries wings
ee = The Feeb Shows no wings

This gene is all about the wings on a Feeb, some Feebs have wings others don't. Yet some could carry the gene instead.

You should use the EE gene for when a Feeb obviously has wings.

This is a harder bit to explain, when a Feeb carries a gene it means it does not show that gene. Though when the Feeb carries a gene instead of not having it they can pass the gene on to young and maybe it could show in them. So a Feeb that doesn't have wings, but carries the gene should have the Ee gene.

When a Feeb has no wings you will use the ee gene.

F: The F gene shows Hair
FF = The Feeb Shows hair
Ff = The Feeb Carries hair
ff = The Feeb Shows no hair

This gene is about hair.

If you can see a Feeb with hair then it should have the FF gene.

Again with the carries thing, the Feeb will not show hair, but it will be able to pass the gene onto young so here you would use the Ff gene.

When a Feeb has no hair between it's ears then it should have the ff gene.

G: The G gene shows ears
GG = The Feeb Shows pointy ears
Gg = The Feeb Shows folded ears
gg = The Feeb Shows little ears

Well, the ears.

If a Feeb has the default big ears then you would use the GG gene.

When a Feeb has ears that are folded over they should have the Gg gene.

Then if a Feeb has very small ears you would use the gg gene.

(( Note as I type this there are no folded or little ear line art, so just go with me on that and I will do them after I finish this.

H: The H gene shows claws
HH = The Feeb Shows claws
Hh = The Feeb Carries claws
hh = The Feeb Shows no claws

This gene is for the claws on a Feeb.

If a Feeb has claws showing on the end of their feet then the gene should be HH.

Then same against with the whole carries thing, if the Feeb carries the gene but doesn't show it you should use the Hh gene.

When a Feeb has no claws and doesn't carry them ether then it should have the hh gene.

I: The I gene shows Teath
II = The Feeb Shows more than two teath
Ii = The Feeb Shows two teath or one
ii = The Feeb Shows no teeth

Then we have the I gene for teeth.

When a Feeb has more than two teeth they should have the II gene, but please when drawing out more than two teeth please make it neat.

A Feeb with only one tooth should have the Ii gene, but a Feeb can also have two teeth and they would have the Ii gene too.

If a Feeb has no teeth then they should have the ii gene.

J: The J gene shows size
JJ = The Feeb Shows normal size
Jj = The Feeb Carries Dwarfness
jj = The Feeb Shows dwarf size

Well the J gene is all about size.

When a Feeb is the normal adult size like the Feeb at the top of the picture is then you would use the JJ gene.

Once again with the carries, A Feeb that carries dwarfness means that they can pass on the gene to their young, yet they do not show it themselves. So Feebs that carry dwarfness should be given the Jj gene.

If a Feeb looks like a Feebale, but is a adult they would end up with the jj gene as they have dwarf size. When babies with dwarf size grow up they will just stay the same and look like babies forever!

K: The K gene shows rage
KK = The Feeb Shows rage
Kk = The Feeb Shows rage, but can control it
kk = The Feeb Shows no rage

The K gene is for rage. Rage is something bad in a Feeb, if a Feeb has rage they will not be breedable. They often only go to experienced owners, though you can get Feebs with rage but they can control it. By that we mean that the Feeb is much harder to breed with others, but it can still breed.

When a Feeb shows rage, or the owner doesn't want it to be breedable you should use the KK gene.

If a Feeb does have rage, but can control it and is harder to breed you should use the Kk gene.

When a Feeb is very friendly and has no rage ( Most Feebs have no rage ) you should use the kk gene.

Ok ok, no more genes. Phew! My fingers hurt! Well onto the next part.

Smoothing

Ok, so here is another thing I'd like to cover. When going into Oekaki I have noticed that a lot of the Feebs have sharp colours that just cut off abruptly into each other and it doesn't look so good. Of you use the blender tool then you can smudge the two colours together so it looks better. Just a little tip. :)
And I think that's about it!

Don’t you know that you’re toxic
And I love what you do
Don’t you know that you’re toxic"

SO SORRY FOR MY INACTIVITY, I WILL BE BACK HONEST
Well, I wanna say that that was a big lie, but here i am, taking a trip down memory lane. 15/07/24. Any old friends if you fancy getting in contact shoot me an email on shadowbolt232@gmail.com because let's be honest, it's highly unlikely I'll ever return to being active here.
