Owner Name:
Taiyo
Name:
Pianissimo
Gender:
Female
Personality:
- S H Y & T I M I D
- Pianissimo seem to be a very shy Rune at first, always seen hiding in dark corners and cloaking herself within the mist. She stays away from strangers most of the time and tends to hover around silently until she's sure they mean no harm. Unlike other Runes I've met, Pianissimo likes to stay quiet and observe. She could sit in one place for a very long time without moving, her glowing eyes staring at the surroundings... who knows just how much information she is absorbing into her little brain each second?
- F R I E N D L Y & L O Y A L
- Once she warms up to you, Pianissimo sticks to you like fly on fly paper. As soon as she assures herself that you're not a threat, she graciously -if not desperately- pours out her friendly and lovable personality on you. Once you've passed her 'test' she'll forever regard you as her friend and will always greet you with hugs and kisses when you arrive to visit.
- C U R I O U S
- Her curiosity is like a well without a bottom, when something seems out of place or so much as twitch a bit, Pianissimo is always eager to find out the reason behind EVERYTHING. Anything and everything would keep this little girl interested for hours, puzzling over one little device and it's 'mysterious' ways. While it's extremely entertaining to watch her go around solving her 'little problems' it can also get very tiring trying to get her out of the messes she makes most of the time.
Quirks:
- S H H H H H...
- It seems our first encounter together seem to leave a weird impression on Pianissimo, who now, constantly tells others to 'Shhhhh' and listen to her
- P E E K - A - B O O
- Pianissimo have a weird habit of cloaking her entire body with mist -effectively turning her invisible- but leaving two glowing eyes floating in mid-air. While it's part of her nature and habit to do that, it still sends shivers up my spine every time she does it and unfortunately for me, she seems to like to watch me shiver.
- M I S T - E M O T I O N S
- An interesting observation I've made through my journey with her is that the mists on her back seem to react to her emotions which makes her as easy to read as an open book. When angered the mists around her thickens into a dense and suffocating, smog-like barrier, where her anger is projected clearly through the screen of fog. When happy or delighted, the mists seem to swirl and caress against skin like silk.
Why do you wish to have him/her:
I've been stalking Rune Dragons for quite some time and have been waiting for the perfect Rune that would capture my heart. Pianissimo did just that. I couldn't resist and HAD to try out for her.
Where will you keep him/her:
In my adoptables thread where I'll showcase her proudly like my other 'form-won' adoptables. From time to time, I'll switch her out onto my signature for a little breather and 'exploring' in a way. xD
Would you like to breed him/her in the feature:
That's debatable, for I'm leaning more on the side of keeping her as a toddler than growing her. But perhaps that might change in the future. If I do decide to breed her I'd love to find a Rune dragon with a great personality to match her timid one.
It's a sunny day, where clouds seem to drift past at a slow and graceful way. It is hot, but the occasional breeze kept me from sweating waterfalls. Here I lean against this old oak tree watching Runes tackle each other on the plains, darting here and there and out of sight on this small grassy plain that I mentally claim as my sanctuary. At first, I'd climbed up the mountain to reach this place to sit and observe the Runes that happen to gather here from time to time, but as time pass my gaze slid and slowly focused on one particular Rune instead. The purple hued Rune that darts from shadow to shadow, disappearing from time to time then reappearing and scaring the other baby Runes... the one I named as Pianissimo. Slowly, I closed my eyes and began to drift... backwards through memories...☁ ☁ ☁
M E E T I N G - R U M P E L S T I L T S K I N
Even though this memory is only a few days old, where everything is still fresh in my mind, it's interesting to find how my dream starts with the memory of feeling extremely sticky with sweat. I was hungry and moody that night, I went hiking and got lost, no thanks to my great navigation skills, I'm miles away from both my house AND my first campsite. I'm alone without food or shelter to pass the night and I'm bloody moody, sweating bullets. I wasn't particularly thrilled when a sudden layer of fog settled in. It was sticky and cold and sent shivers up my spine, by then, half starved and thirsty I thought I was starting to hallucinate. When I saw a floating pair of glowing eyes, my overloading mind exploded and I lost it.
I woke up to weak sunlight, the fog was still there, hovering around, however it seems slightly weaker. Perhaps because it's morning, that there's not enough moisture in the air to sustain it's existence, either way, I'm pretty sure this is no ordinary or natural fog. If it's not me loosing my mind, it's some mythical creature at work. I've heard of stories of strange creatures dwelling in these parts of the mountains, they are huge monsters with big, scary, glowing eyes - my thought immediately went to the scary, surreal event that happened before I blacked out. I had refused to think about it so far but it's hard NOT to when you're thinking about scary stories about mist monsters eating you alive. Shuddering slightly, I began to feel my way around, if navigating through the forest was hard, navigating through the forest THROUGH dense fog is harder.
I swear several times through my confusing trek I heard eerie howls and shrieks echoing from within the mists, or maybe more like shrill laughter at my vain attempts to find my way out of this maddening place. When night fell I was an empty shell without hope. I'm alone with nothing except the cold and the mists.
"Is this my fate?" I asked no one in particular. Strangely the fog around me seem to respond to my voice, throbbing gently as if it's pulsating… with life. "… I must be going mad." I sighed, shaking my head.
First floating eyes, now the mists throbs with life, the next thing I expect to see will be trees trying tempt me to join them in a dance. The same eerie, shrill whistle broke through the silence of the air, a sound no longer foreign to me, it did however, surprisingly brought my hopes up to find that I'm not completely alone, even if my company is some big scary, flesh-eating, monster. "If only I could see now." I mumbled absently. Seconds after the last word left my lips, two blue orbs blinked into sight just inches away from my face. Shrieking in surprise and horror I fell down in an unladylike manner, flipping over in a backwards summersault and landing squarely on my bum. The same shrill shriek rang through the air and the eyes blinked out of sight, leaving me panting heavily, recovering from shock.
"Who are you?" I asked the mists, who naturally didn't respond to my question. Silence crept on for a few moments before I finally asked the question that'd been bothering me for quite a while, "..A-are you going to eat me? I swear I don't taste good, like… stringy meat. Absolutely… disgust- distasteful." Hey, a lady's gotta keep some pride just in case this is some really bad case of a joke. I received a snort in response and I swear it sounded quite irritated, "I guess… that's a no." I let out a pent up breath I had been holding onto for a while and sat down now that I know this creature is not aiming to devour me.
"So… why are you following me? Where are you anyways?" This time when the eyes blinked into sight I was prepared for it. I could feel the air around me rumble slightly as the screen-like fog transmitted the soft, rumbling vibrations of what felt like the creature's purr. "… So a friendly creature eh?" I remarked softly. "I suppose this is your doing also?" I pointed at the fog around me, watching as the two blue orbs bob up and down. Already I could feel my tensed body loosening up now that the fear that had been haunting me for the whole day turned up to be some invisible, friendly creature. As I start to relax I could feel the fog around me start to thin out as well, the blue eyes losing some of it's harsh glow, emitting only a soft gentle light that illuminates the area. Slowly I watched as the fog around me dissipated leaving me in a small circle free of wet fog, the two blue orbs inched slightly forward, it's muzzle poking out from the mists and into the circle, slowly revealing a small purple Rune Dragon wearing a crown of mist that runs down it's spine. With each hesitant step closer to me, I get a clearer view of this strange Rune who managed to reduce a human ten times it's size to thinking she's about to go mad. Soft clinking brought my attention to the beads attached to it's wings, dragging on the floor as the mist-being closed the distance to a few centimeters. "…You're sneaky aren't you?" I pouted at the young dragon lightly, watching as the little creature twitched it's maws into a weird smile.
We sat there for a while, staring at each other peacefully, observing and liking what we saw. Finally I asked, "Do you have a name?", not surprisingly the Rune shook it's head, snapping its maws softly producing soft clicking noises. "Shall I think of one for you then?" the response was instant as the Rune Dragon nodded it's head fiercely becoming very animated all of a sudden. Smiling, I leaned back and started to randomly throw out names for the Rune Dragon. "How about… Mistborn? No? Hmnn… Misty? Ferral? Ferrai? Mao? Fion? Jackie? Cloudy?.." and I kept going, as did the Mist Rune toddler shaking her head every time. "Doma? Asuka? Bell? Elizabeth? Jamie?" We kept going for hours and hours, secluded in our little circle free of fog, keeping each other company as I threw out ideas and she declines them. Whenever I'm hungry the Mist Rune would leave the area into the mists, later coming back in a few minutes with a small pile of berries to fuel me on. We had fun, or more like the Mist Rune had fun, she seem to relax more and show more of her feisty fun side as the hours passed. When I nodded off to sleep, she would always wake me up with a slap of her wing and nip me to nudge me to continue with the naming process. It seems she won't let me rest peacefully until I find her a name she's satisfied with. But she is one tough customer and my consciousness is slowly fading despite her attempts to keep me awake.
Hanging between unconsciousness and being awake an idea hit me as I jolted awake suddenly, scaring the Mist Rune and sending her stepping a pace back from my sudden movement. "I know! Pianissimo!" The Rune cocked her head slightly to the side in a confused manner, maws turned slightly down in a frown. Too tired to jump into a long explanation on what it means I placed a finger on my lips and softly breathed out, "Shhhhh… it means very soft." The last of my energy spent, I collapsed face-first on the ground as sleep quickly dragged me under into the dream world…
but not before I saw the Rune's faint smile.
