Why do you want to adopt? She's beautiful. Her fur is such a gorgeous shade of blue-white, and her light, swirling markings remind me of a subtle breeze. Her semi-transparent dragonfly wings give her a lighter feeling than other wings would have, and that really fits a rat that represents the element of air. The scales add a slight feeling of heaviness and strength, enough to bring to mind the true power of air and wind, but not so much that it distracts from the overall light, airy feeling she has. Combined with the cobwebs on her paws and tail, I feel she not only represents the element of air wonderfully, but also an element of fantasy. This is truly a rat I'd be proud to own.
Rat Name:Aldora (Winged Gift in Greek)
Rat Number:4
Gender:Female
Personality(Likes, dislikes, how they react to people, other rats, etc.):Aldora is a very energetic rat, flying quickly to one place, then another, then back again. She is quick-thinking and light on her toes, capable to make sharp turns and graceful flips and loops in the air. However, Aldora is also an indecisive rat, and that sometimes takes a toll on her flying when she starts doing a flip, then decides she wants to do a corkscrew in the opposite direction mid-flip and ends up crashing into a tree instead.
Aldora loves her freedom, and is claustrophobic. Because of that, she sleeps in a hollow she chewed herself on an oak tree, where the thickest branch meets the trunk. It’s open enough to allow her to see the sky and deep enough so that she can fit her whole body easily inside with a leaf overhead to keep her out of the sight of predators (In winter, when there’s no leaves, her fur disguises her among the snowy branches). Living in a tree also gives her plenty of branches to check on her cobweb collection (more info on that in Quirks).
Despite her energy, Aldora is kind and gentle with other rats. She also expects to be treated the same, cheerfully greeting and helping rats that are kind with her and one another, and trying to avoid those that are not. However, this doesn’t mean she will ignore a rat in need of help because their attitude is a little sour.
LikesWatching and chasing insects, especially dragonflies because they’re “just like her”
A winter day perfect for zipping around and catching snowflakes on her tongue
Dipping her toes in a refreshing lake or pond
DislikesSpiders! (Odd as it may sound, she doesn’t really mind the big ones. She dislikes the tiny ones that cling to her cobwebs and decide they live there now, or worse, crawl up onto and along her back)
Hot and humid weather
Small, tight spaces
Fighting or rudeness
Quirks(Little things like "Enjoys sleeping on her back", "Loves hoarding candy wrappers", etc.):She loves collecting cobwebs, because it looks like the web-like fur on her paws and tail. She takes the utmost care to make sure the webs are uninhabited so as not to disturb any innocent spiders (and keep those hairy eight legs away from HER legs). Aldora hangs her collection underneath a particularly sheltered part of the oak tree she sleeps in.
Aldora also has a good amount of flower petals, though she usually collects them to hang on her cobwebs so insects can see them (She’d hate to find a poor little dragonfly caught in her collection).
Pick one 'quirk' that I will edit into her/his information:Loves collecting cobwebs
What do you plan on doing with your rat(Roleplay, Make art of, Hoard art of, etc.)Making and ordering art. She’ll be fun for me to draw and write about <3
If you feel you can no longer care for your Rat, will you return it here to find a new homeWith this lovely rat, I hope it never comes to that. But if it does, I will return her so she can find a new loving home.

I also did a couple traditional sketches, but the lines were too light for my scanner to pick up so I had to take a photo of them (and I don’t have a camera besides my phone so please excuse the icky photo quality)
Sketch 1Sketch 2Sketch 3Story:Aldora gave a tiny yawn as the soft light of dawn filtered through the thinning leaves of the oak tree she slept in. A particularly chilly autumn breeze helped her shaker herself fully awake. Aldora wasn’t exactly what one would call a morning rat, but she loved the dawn so much. In her opinion, waking up to the cool morning air, with the dew shining brightly on her cobwebs, and the pink rays of the sun chasing away the night and mingling with the morning’s gray sky was worth losing an hour or two of sleep every now and then.
Aldora allowed herself a quick stretch before scurrying out of the tree hollow she called home. Standing at the edge of the oak’s branch, she gave her wings a few quick test flaps before flitting off to check on her cobwebs. The young rat weaved in and out of the branches, giggling and making the most of her short trip to the branches her cobwebs were hung on. Aldora slowed and fluttered to a stop as she reached the beautiful wall of dew drops and flower petals that was her collection of webs. She scanned the web thoroughly, both admiring its beauty and checking it for any insects that might have missed the flower petal warning and gotten stuck in the sticky threads.
Satisfied that her web had not caught any innocents, Aldora turned to leave when a blue flash streaked over head and hit her web full force. The strong spider’s silk held and in its center was a bright blue dragonfly. Aldora squeaked in surprise. She flew up to the dragonfly, where it’s struggling brought further upon it further entanglement. “Hold still little fella, I’ll get you out.” Aldora whispered to the insect as she tugged at the webs around it. She carefully separated the tangled dragonfly from its sticky prison and gently pulled the remainder of the webs off its body. “There. Be careful next time.” Aldora chirped happily as the dragonfly lifted up into the air and darted off. She gave the hole in her cobwebs a glance before quickly taking off after the dragonfly. “I’ll have to get some more webs to patch that hole later, but for now, a game of chase!” Aldora said, grinning.
