Username: Scarper

Dragon name: Scarper

Gender: Male

Personality: Scarper is very quiet and elusive. He is a very formidable enemy, both in a verbal and physical joust. He is quick witted, flighty, and a kleptomaniac. He loves the thrill of a thieving escapade, and will not give up the chance to steal something, no matter how small.

Scarper's less-than-positive childhood gave him some bad scars, emotional and physical. The scar on his eye is one that he holds dearly to his heart, as his mother was the one to inflict it upon him, accidentally, while she was fighting off another dragon. Some of Scarper's other scars, however, weren't quite so accidental in being made. Scarper was a slave, which seemed to brainwash most of his thoughts. He now only steals when told too.

History: Scarper was born second in a clutch of fifteen, some time around the early 16th century. In their first decade of being alive, Scarper was very lucky in that his mother chose a perfect, underground cave to have her brood. After a horrible storm that destroyed most of their cave, Scarper's family was found by an old dragon who wanted Scarper's mother for his own. Scarper accidentally got caught in the middle of the fight when he was trying to run away, and ended up getting slashed in the eye by his mother's talon. She never forgave herself, but Scarper took it as a signal for her love, unyielding. In the end, Scarper's family lost the cave, and in turn had to all fly south to a place called "The Rookery" to finish their childhood development.

By the Brood's 10th decade, near the beginning of the 17th century, most of the hatchlings, now adolescents, began to leave The Rookery. All except Scarper, who wished to stay with his mother. However, a group of people, in the middle of the night, broke into The Rookery and kidnapped Scarper. Rather than being killed, he was forced to serve a young Earl of Kent. Rather than simply spending a few decades with this Earl, Scarper became a living, breathing heirloom that was passed down from one Earl to another, forced to act as a spy, a thief, a form of transportation, and a servant.

By the beginning of the 18th century, Scarper now a full grown adult, things began to change. The Earl of Kent died with no heir, Europeans were going to America, a strange new world. Scarper took his chances and left Great Britain, flying all the way from the White Cliffs of Dover to Plymouth Rock. Rather than live in an urban settlement of the pioneers, Scarper continued to fly inland, until he chose the prairies as his home. However, whether by accident, boredom, or interest, Scarper ended up joining a family who wanted to go live in California. When the civil war broke out, Scarper fled north, to Canada, fearing what would happen should he remain to long with a waring nation.

Scarper returned to The United States by the mid 20th century. Things had improved since Scarper had last seen America, and his world was improving around him. Deciding to get with the times, Scarper learned how to take the guise of a human and walk amongst man. He ended up returning to England, discovering his mother's untimely death, but was forced to move on. Scarper ended up going to a Butler's School, and got hired by a rich young man, much like the Earl of Kent. Only this Young Man that Scarper serves knows the secret of Scarper's true form, but rather than expose him, the Young Man keeps Scarper doing things that Butler's wouldn't do. Spy and Steal.

All in all Scarper can't complain about how his life, thus far, has turned out. It is now the beginning of the 21st century, and Scarper can't wait to see how the world will continue changing.

Why do you want him/her?: I love this dragon design. I have been looking for a new character for quite some time, and I think he will fit perfectly in my new story.

Other?: (Artwork, stories ect. (Optional)) Might add something else, not sure though
