Name:

Stacey Jaxxj

Gender:

[ ] Female [X]Male

Likes:

Rock & Roll, things that have meaning, a chance to break out, being nonconformist, showing others who he really is!

Dislikes:

Totalitarionism, lifelessness, being one of many, being labeled, people who think Rock so satanic.

Story:

Stacey breathed a sigh as he walked off stage. Sweat was dripping around his nose and lip, and his nose was twitching like crazy. His head spun and his stomach lurched from lack of food. Just another night on stage for the famed Rock & Roll god Stacey Jaxx. Stacey rubbed the top of his head, under his hair, as he was led to his room backstage by two Pitbull bodyguards. He paused as two Rabbits, one bearing a shocking resemblance to the Rock god. Stacey was silent for a long time, just standing there, his two bodyguards glaring at the rabbits from behind their sunglasses. Neither rabbit looked pleased.

Finally, Stacey spoke, "Step-Mom. Dad." He addressed them, inclining his head in an awkward greeting. Both Mother and Father crossed their arms and deepened their glare. They hadn't wanted Stacey to go on tour. Actually, they hadn't even wanted him to get into Rock & Roll! They had trained a good little church-goer who sang in the choir about god! Not about rebellion!

Stacey watched his parents with a steady gaze, one that they matched. Suddenly, Stacey spoke again, "If you're here to stop me, forget it. I love this life. I love everything about it. This is my life, and I'm going to do what I want with it!"

Stacey's step-mother had been progressively losing her cool during Stacey's small speech, and when he was done, she snapped. "Stacey Jackson, You are my son! Barely 17 and not and adult! I will be making decisions for you until you are smart enough to make them yourself. What you are doing is stupid and wrong! I am not going to let you continue with this devil worship!"

Stacey bristled, lips curling back and ears flattening, "If you don't like your precious son singing about freedom, then turn off the radio! I should be able to do what I want! I'm not hurting anyone, I'm not killing anyone, I am doing nothing wrong!"

Stacey's father, who'd seen discussions between his wife and son end up in a screaming match, chose to broke in, acting as a voice of reason, "Stacey, please. I know you love singing, and you're great at it, but why rock? Why not pop...or even opera?! You're great at opera!"

Stacey's father was a quiet man with timid tendencies, often letting his wife take charge. Stacey had always loved his father, far more than his mother, who was actually his step mother, so he tried his hardest to remain civil with him, "Dad," Stacey began, his voice low, "I didn't choose Rock, Rock chose me. Rock is about freedom, about having the chance to express your opinion. About being safe to say what's on your mind. Rock is rock. It's a raw form of music to describe your deepest feelings. It's about not having to conform. It's about being free. Rock doesn't discriminate, because Rock is you."

Stacey's father sighed, while Stacey's step mother reeled. Stacey didn't give his family a moment to respond, however. Instead, with a quick nod to his bodyguards, Stacey was escorted back to his dressing room, not giving another thought to his family.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Stace? Stacey? Jaxx, you in there?" Stacey just barely heard the sound of his oldest friend and choreographer, Bristol Mars over the roar of the radio.
Bristol was a young jaguar with a good heart and a great personality. The cat was charismatic, funny, and very upbeat. He proved to Stacey that no matter how low things got, you could still find happiness.
The sound of the door opening went unnoticed to Stacey. The lack of sound from the radio however, was noticed. Stacey was cocooned in his bed by his covers. The only way you could see the rabbit was a single ear, joined by a lock of blue hair. Stacey felt the bed sink by his stomach, "Stace. What's wrong? I saw your father and that witch outside. Your dad looked pretty upset. The witch looked ready to cast a hex on the place. What'dja say?"
Stacey's response was muffled. Bristol sighed and Stacey suddenly felt to arms around his midsection. Without warning, he was pulled into a sitting position, and the covers fell off. Stacey was dressed in a pair of sweatpants, and nothing else. Bristol shook his head, fixing Stacey's hair, "Now, what did you say?" He asked again, enunciating every word.
Stacey closed his eyes and leaned against Bristol. Good ol' Bristol. The rock of The Rock God. Stacey finally spoke, "I told my parents that there was no chance I was going back. That my life was Rock & Roll. I think I crushed my dad. I don't care about mom." Stacey said numbly. His voice was quiet.
Bristol pursed his lips, unconsciously pulling Stacey into his laps and stroking his back, "Well, Stace. Your parents knew that they couldn't keep you forever. You dad loves you, no matter what. I can't speak for that hag, but your dad will forgive you. You'll see. This is a time of change. Even our parents are beginning to see things like Rock & Roll in a new light. Maybe you just gotta wait a bit."
Stacey looked up at Bristol. The feline's face was almost unreadable, looking off into the distance. Stacey sighed and leaned back against Bristol's chest again.
"Thanks, Bristol. You always know exactly what to say," Stacey whispered.
Bristol smiled and got up, dropping Stacey on the ground in the process, "Ow! Hey!" Stacey yelped.
Bristol laughed, "C'mon kitten, let's go get you some coffee! We're hitten the road in two hours!"
Stacey groaned, but was already being pulled out the door by Bristol.
~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Stacey Jaxx?"

Stacey glanced up. He had already been in Chicago for a few days, but this had been the first time he had actually been approached by someone backstage. It was a young fox, a mailman. He blushed and smiled weakly, "I...um...I have a letter for you." He said timidly before offering an unmarked, unstamped letter. Stacey paused at the curiosity of it, but he opened the letter nonetheless. Without going to the bottom to see who it was from, Stacey could already tell the letter was from his father.

Dear Stacey Jaxx,

Oh son, I'm so sorry that we attacked you on Friday. Diana and I had come just to offer you a place to stay when you reach New York, but then you just blew things out of proportion. Then again, I probably shouldn't have brought Diana. I know how she makes you feel. Well, nonetheless, the offer still stands. When you reach New York, if you want, you may still stay with us. Anyway, you never gave me a chance to respond to your little speech on Friday, so this is my response.

I understand that I can't control you. You are a teenager, a free spirit, and a Rock god. I have seen the way your fans look at your. Adoration in their eyes. I have also seen some other Rock Gods in my time, and let me tell you, they are nothing compared to you. You are a good influence on them. Even though you have rebelled against us, you still hold our morals and values, and that means a lot to us.... or at least to me. I know part of the reason why you left was because of Diana, but she said that she wanted to visit her parents while you were in New York anyway. I think she's trying to avoid you.

Anyway, I just wanted to say that I love you more than anything else, and whatever your decision, as long as it isn't killing someone, I support it.

I love you,
Dad

Stacey smiled blearily, eyes tearing up and breath coming out in choked sobs. Bristol walked by and saw his oldest friend standing in the middle of the hallway with the letter in his hand and walked over.

"Stace? Everything ok?" He asked. Stacey smiled, tears running down his face, and he offered the letter to Bristol.

Bristol read the letter and smiled, "See, Stace? I told you. Your dad's the best. He loves you. No matter what."

Stacey nodded.

That night, when Stacey Jaxx got on stage to sing, the first words out of his mouth were, "Before we begin this amazing concert, I just want to say something. If it weren't my dad, I wouldn't be here. Thanks for everything, Dad, you helped me be who I am, and I can never thank you enough!"

Little did Stacey know, in the crowd of people, somewhere near the front of the stage, a rabbit that looked shockingly a lot like Stacey Jaxx was standing in the audience, tears streaming down his face, a smile on his face, in his eyes, but most importantly, a smile in his heart.
