→ username; froslass
→ name of mutato; Haruka
→ reason for name; i'll admit, the inspiration for the name is from this pretty boy, haruka from the anime free! iwatobi swim club. haruka means far off or distant in japanese. the characters for this name are 遥 . though the name is feminine, this mutato is indeed male, contrary to popular belief. though others may stereotype him as a female because of his royal purple color, he is not a male as proven. other mutatos may refer to him as haruka-san in general respect, as his name does practically explain part of his personality and gives off an air of intimidation.
→ poem; i want to put my head on your shoulder and
melt into your pores; we can be
yin and yang as we swirl and intertwine
in the most beautifully tragic way,
like water and oil in a clear ceramic bowl
-- taylor st onge
→ personality; there's three words that can perfectly describe little mister haruka. absentminded, nonchalant, and careless. he doesn't have a care in the world when he is alone, and enjoys listening to the sounds of the ocean or gazing up at the sky at night. one of his favorite things to do is swim, and he enjoys going as far down as he can and then peering up at the distorted surface above. to the people he cares fondly about he is extremely protective, and will not hesitate to speak up if someone is trying to annoy either of them. to others he's indifferent to he may be quite distant and hardly reply, or not reply at all. he tends to be extremely bashful and insecure: if someone compliments his golden eyes, like a lot of people and other mutatos feel strangely drawn to, he may blush and try to escape the situation as easily as he can. he is very vulnerable despite showing little emotion most of the time, and he almost always has a confused aura surrounding him. he's been told people can feel his anxieties flowing off of him in waves. being teased as a young mutato has made him a little more powerful to holding off negative comments but he still lets them wriggle under his skin and bug him for as long as they can. <wip>
→ habitat short story; the link to haruka's short story based off of where he lives is here.

yukiko ["happiness; blessing; fortune"]
Common Japanese female name. The meaning varies depending on the characters (kanjis) used to write the name. The syllable 'ko', mark of the feminine, is chiefly written with the character for "child". 'Yuki' may be written with the character for "happiness; blessing; fortune". Other possible combinations for "yuki" include: "help; assist" (yu) and "hope; beg; request" (ki), "snow" (yu) and "garment; clothes" (ki), as well as "journey; going; travel" (yuki).

she is beautiful, regal [purple and gold being regal colours] and embodies the koi fish [which i adore],
so to have this special little mutato as my first mutato would be a blessing,
and would make me so happy. so, I have named her Yukiko
♥

Yukiko, in this rapidly deteriorating world, has found something ancient and serene; something that she loves. Yukiko has found a koi pond. This little mutato has made her home there; among the stones, the moss-covered statues, the small, once-cared for trees and old wooden bridge. There is an overgrown path that leads to what was once an imperial house, now broken and forgotten. Yukiko doesn’t go there, she doesn’t need to go there, all she needs is her pond and her koi friends; watching over them, caring for them, as happy as a little mutato can be.
Life is so stressful i hear you say,
there must be a way to survive each day.
find a way, find a way
Come to my garden i will show you how
to de-stress yourself and do it now.
there is a way, i'll show you the way
Sit by my pond and have a good look around
take in the sights, the colours and sounds.
this is the way, you've found the way.
Watch the fish so majestic and graceful
let their peace and serenity fully embrace you.
find a way, this is the way
Take a deep breath and exhale in the glory
of watching these fish, its the start of a story.
find your way, i hope you'll stay.
Now feeling refreshed, cares eased away,
i hope you have enjoyed finding your way,
finding your way to enjoy everyday.
