Username:
Okami The Trickster

Name:
Rapha

Name Meaning:
Hebrew name meaning "feeble, flaccid, weak," i.e. "a shade" living in Hades, void of blood and animal life; therefore weak and languid like a sick person, but still able to think.

Gender:
Male/He/Him

Childhood story:
"Soooo... you want to know my childhood story... eh?" He quirks an eyebrow in amusement. So here we go...

-Flashback-
(Warning: A Little Blood and Gore)

Day 56:

"What do you want with m-me?!" he cried out at the monster. "Just a bit of blood." a grim voice echoed around him. He shook his head while crying in the dark. "This is a dream. It has to be a dream. Please be a dream." he whispered to himself. "But it's not." the voice spoke. It shook the floor and pieces upon pieces of walls and the ground tumbled and cracked. His world was cracking and shattering piece by piece. Moment by moment. Second by second. Scream by scream. The monstrous world faded away into light as he fell to the floor sobbing. "Why does this keep happening to me!" he sobbed. His hallucinations wouldn't stop. He was hurting himself because he thought he was insane. Bruises and cuts all along his wings, arms, tail, and face. He was psycho. He wasn't normal. He knew that.

Day 158:

Laughing filled the walls of his cave as he smeared his blood on the walls of the cave. He had gone completely mad and only a tiny shattered piece of humanity still laid deep and buried inside of him. He couldn't stop. He didn't want to stop. A wide grin spread upon his dark face. His wings and body bandaged from all of his wounds from him torturing himself. He had lived in isolation... for 158 days now.

Day 219:

He had gone insane. He wasn't normal. That piece of humanity didn't live inside of him anymore. He was a monster. He couldn't control himself. He had already murdered an innocent wandering Fruit Bat. He was no longer even a being. All that surrounded himself was darkness.

Day 422:

"Where am I?" she said. She found herself in a cage made of bones and it scared her. "Hello?" she shouted. "So your finally awake?" Rapha said with a grim tone. Crawling out of the darkness he was stained in crimson. He seemed to have no humanity left in him. "Rapha? Is.. is that y-you?" she asked. "How do you know my name?" he asked back. "It's m-me... Kairi... I w-was your friend.. until.. you went mad..." she answered back to Rapha. "Oh..." he crawled back into the shadows and it sounded like some sort of weeping and sobbing. "I'll let you go. Just this time." Walking back up to the cage he opened the lock and pointed towards the exit. "Just this once Kairi. Just this o-" Before he could finish speaking she had already given him a hug. "If any part of you is still in there. Please... listen. You need to overcome the madness." she was shoved back with force. She tumbled a bit and when she stood up he was gone. Vanished into the cave of darkness. She would come back tomorrow.

Day 423:

Kairi snuck back into the cave silently. She had brought some fruit and jewelry too. "Rapha? You there?" her question echoed in the cave and she looked around. She saw to orbs of small glowing light. They moved too. "R-Rapha? You're scaring me..." she cried. Her ears pinned back to her head she watched as the orbs vanished. A crack sounded and she was pinned down. "I told you not to come here again!" his eyes flared in anger as he clawed the side of her face. His eyes shifted blue for a moment as he had a look of sorrow in his eyes as he backed away. "Rapha. Please. I know you're in there!" she shouted. "No... I'm NOT!!!" he lunged for her and pinned her down once more. Starting to cut off her circulation it reached the minute mark. She was gone. "No.. no... what have I done..." Reality flowed to his senses as he was normal again. Shaking Kairi he cried and sobbed. "Kairi! Please..."
The last sliver of humanity he had flowed back. He was normal again.

-End of Flashback-

"So... yeah....." he started to weep as you walked away.

Extras:

About Rapha:
So Rapha was a psycho. He first started to have hallucinations but they began to effect him. He became insane and started to murder anything that came near him or into his cave. He finally regained his sanity when he killed his friend Kairi. After this he lived in isolation still. But now he has his sister/brother? to accompany him. He doesn't talk much but when he does it usually doesn't make sense. He is not really liked by anyone due to his history and most people tend to stay away from him. He is a very kind and softhearted guy now though.

Character Traits:
When Freak: Insecure, Freak, Weird, Rampaging, Murderous, Dangerous, Blood seeking, Killer.
When Normal: Insecure, Weird, Lonesome, Kind, Shy, Isolated, Caring.

Hobbies:
Well Rapha really likes to make jewelry. Since Kairi used to make jewelry with him when he was young. He also likes to paint with crushes up berries on the walls of his cave. He also collects gems and shells.

About his Short Legs:
His short limbs don't effect him. He can't run as fast as other Fruit Bats but he can still move and walk around. He doesn't mind his short limbs that make him unique.

Why a Mohawk:
He really likes the style. He finds it also unique and somewhat different.

I guess this is a wip? ;D Tell me if it's too much blood or gore... I hope it's not too much because I worked two hours on it. Hehe

childhood story:
Wasn't always such a happy tale for this little guy.
Often others would ask why isn't he in the circus? Isn't that where he belongs?
No, he doesn't belong. He viewed the community he lived in as a big-top circus tent.
Where the pecking order when from lion tamers, acrobats to clowns and carnies.
What lie ahead of him was beyond him as he knew deep down that he was a freak.
Normally he looks into the mirror and tries to change who he is in order to seem more..
likable. The only thing was, out of all the name-calling and so on, he didn't realize that
the minorities actually were scared to talk to him for they thought he was the coolest out of them all.
While looking into glistening waters like mirrors he didn't see much difference from him and everyone else.
He thought it over in his head and build a cast around his broken heart and signed it himself. He signed it,
"They were wrong." People starting coming up to him in a positive way as he found ways to power through.
The ones who had talked to him surprised him as he thought they were cooler than him. He smiled and
started to speak when spoken too. Trying to find interests so they could be better friends. As he continued
he found more ways to break through barriers and eventually started to enter a positive atmosphere.
His friends and himself found ways to set up walls so that the people who attacked him mentally would sound
like nothing more than muffled yells that tried to hurt him. He believed he was stronger, now he knows for sure.

Extra: (can be art/journal/poetry etc. anything!)

(Hanging with the right people)

You know it's kind of funny how life works out for you. I used to believe that friends were nothing more than people who
drag you down and hold you back from success and constantly be of annoyance. Later in life, I grew to appreciate
the word that everyone calls 'support' which is a term that lacked appearance in my past. It's needed more than ever now.
It helps me get through the walls and my friends help me fight for others. It's such a great feeling having someone by
your side that's ready to help you protect others.

(Finding additional company)

Friends are pretty great but there was something else I found! It was a cute blue Indian ringneck.
I think it liked me because when I went over to it, it broke the silence and seemed to be talking to me.
Odd right? This bird doesn't even know me but seems to like me. I bobbed my head up and down and
it copied it. When I made clicking noises, it would try and do the same which was really cool in my opinion!
I decided to get it and he's been pretty well behaved despite a few outbursts of screeching but I guess
you have to let it out sometimes you know. I found out he's a male before I got him. He began messing
with the lace materials I had and seemed to really like them so I decided to name him Lace!

(Is something wrong?)

One of my friends came over and decided to hang out with me and of course, I did just that. I told them
to wait because I was going to get Lace because I haven't shown him to my friends yet. Once I got him out
and they saw him and he saw them, it was like Lace's mood turned sour. He flew at them and pecked at them.
I grabbed him and quickly apologized for Lace's behavior. It was very unlike him to attack anyone. Especially
one of my friends. My friend screamed at me which was also unexpected and told me to red rid of this monstrosity
with wings and ran off. Later that day I confronted them about it but they hadn't changed their mind after the talk.
They refused to even be around me because of Lace which resulted the end of our friendship. Maybe Lace thought
they were a bad person. I don't know but at least I still got Lace and my other friends.

(Socializing has it's perks)

My friend recently bought a bird and brought it over to mingle with Lace. They hit it off real quickly!
I'll admit, I was a little bit nervous about him being around other birds and mentioned it to my friend.
They got a bird because they thought they were great like I did and it's true! Despite the noise, they
are wonderful pets! We arrange playdates every now and then for them so they can hang out and it
brings me closer to my friend so our bond builds and Lace creates a new friendship!

I was very impressed with everyones forms but this story got sm hooked! Congrats!
