Osi loves the spirit of halloween. The idea of scaring off spirits or appeasing them with sweets has always tickled his fancy. The only problem is... Osi is a total scaredy cat! He can't handle suspense horror films like Paranormal Activity or downright slashers like Saw; that kind of gore makes him ill. Not to mention when there's a knock knock on his chamber door on all hallows eve, a real good costume has him running back inside! No, he could never be a demon or skeleton king but he had to find something.
He saw several nature themed masks at the second hand store with deer faces, flower crowns and fairy wings. He got the idea of a nature god mask seeing all the beautiful leaves and horn masks. Osi has always loved nature, especially fall, so it seemed fitting to pick out some fake leaves and weave a pretty border around his mask. Mostly just your basic rounded leaves, but he found two oak and a pine needle wreath to add to his creation.
This mask isn't scary, but it still means something and it would keep evil spirits away. After all, no demon would mess with a god!

animated body, lifeless as a sack

i live in a world of skull and bone,
of ghastly creatures atop boney thrones

i walk amongst them carefully creeping
among the shadows slowly sleeping

hidden by the mask i wear
with no outward soul to bear

only my flames give away my light
and to hide them, i must flee to the night

lest i be caught by the monsters without heart
and end up snapped like shredded bark


Endora lives in a world of shadow, of horrors you can only imagine. She was not meant to be there, in this realm of shadow beasts with an array of unusual skulls, but she is stuck there, and to survive, she has to hide her face, to look like them, so she has some hope of one day getting out.
Her mask is something she carved herself, in the moments she was able to hide over the many years, and it is lined with a velvety fabric on the inside, so the harshness of the stone it's made of does not scrape her skin.
Now, with the mask, she has hope of getting free.
