As ʏᴏᴜ ᴇɴᴛᴇʀ ᴛʜᴇ sᴍᴀʟʟ ᴘᴏᴜɴᴅ, high-pitched barks and yips sound around you. Unique canine-like creatures press their noses between their cage bars, some sniffing you curiously while some flatten their bat-like ears and growl. You find yourself slightly frightened, glad that the cages provide a barrier between you and these odd dogs.
Behind you is the clicking of boots, and you spin around to find a friendly woman with a clipboard grinning at you.
"I see you found the Inecan wing," She says, a hint of amusement in her voice. You blink in confusion, and the woman continues. Her tone clearly says that she has been here before. "Sunshine Pound not only provides housing for cats and dogs, but also unique creatures called inecans. The inecan wing, where we are right now, is slightly hidden, open to only the bravest people."
You motion to the inecans around you, who have not quieted down at all. "Are they--for adoption?"
"Yes, in a sense," Says the woman. "You adopt them, but they are only visible to their owners. So, say you adopt this pup--" she nods at a smaller yellow inecan-- "and fill out the official inecan adoption form, then the inecan is yours. It stays close to you at all times, and only you, or people with inecans, can see it."
"Cool!" You exclaim. "How much is it to get one?"
"It's free, but with a price," Says the woman slowly. "You must vow to take care of it forever, until your death, or it will run away, leaving your side and causing great terror. Once an inecan leaves its human, it is free to do great damage in the world.
So, do you adopt one of these unknown canines? Or turn away in fear?
Aᴅᴏᴘᴛɪɴɢ ɪs ɴᴏᴛ ᴀʟᴡᴀʏs ᴇᴀsʏ. You must first select a pre-made inecan, then fill out the adoption form on its page. It will either hiss, (meaning you are not a good owner for the inecan, and must try again with a different) or yip (meaning it has selected you as a human). People may continue to fill out the form until the inecan has yipped.

Adopt an inecan without its approval
request a commission
or complain when an inecan has hissed at you.
