[shadow master]

"shadow" is one of the caretor that i made up she is curently up for adoption if some on wants her... this is her story so far.....

"Welcome to your new home my little one" i opened my eyes to see a friendly looking face; it was my mother's face. She licked me and studs me up. I was tumbling over and felt dizzy too. My first moments of being able to see and i am tumbling into trees. After a wail i was walking all around my black fur in the moon light and my blue eyes sparkling with delight! Then mother called me too bed. It had been 3 or 5 weeks after that, that i for some stupid reason decided to wonder off. I smelled something new and went to find it. When i got there it was so big! It was black like me and the rain stayed on top of it like magic! It went on forever and had a long yellow strip down its back that it too went on forever. It was silent, i stepped on to it, nothing, maybe it was a sleep. I put my paw slowly over the white line, still nothing. I wanted to cross it and see what was on the other side. I stepped on to the yellow line, and then i heard something..... Was it awake? just then out of the misty rain a big silver beast with bright glowing eyes and a rumble like voice came over the back of the black and yellow striped creator! i was stud stiff as a board, why couldn't i run!?! Then the beast flew right past me. i was paralyzed but managed to inch tortes home, keeping a strait eye on the spot where the beast had come from. Just as i was almost inched over the white line, i heard mothers voice, i tried to call out but the only thing that came out was a faint squeak. Then glowing eyes appeared again, in a split second i let out a loud cry "HELP MOTHER!!!" as the eyes quickly got closer i became paralyzed again, full of fear. The eyes were right in front of me, and mother jumped in front and picked me up, at the moment her paw touched the yellow line, i was thrown from the safety of her mouth on to the wet and musty black creator. My paw heart from the fall. I heard a load cracking sound and a squish, and a maidenly opened my eyes, to see mother laying on the ground and blood everywhere! Tiers filled my eyes, though i was little i new...... i new she was dead....... Everything had happened so fasted; the blood flowed like a small river, out of her mouth, and covered my paws. Her green eyes still open and the love seemed to be gone, as if the beast just picked it up and stole it. The centre of her body was smashed down and covered in blood as well. i was so sad as i cried i promest myself that i would never leave her side, i lied beside her almost wishing that she would get up and we could go home . In the morning i wok up to people talking, they were humans! And i was in a cage, in one of the beast!! i looked for a way out going in circles till i got dizzy, then i heard one of the humans say " ah look who’s awake and she looks alright for the most part" " she's probably just shuck up after all she was lying next to her dead mother and had an infection in her eyes, although we'll never see her eye colour she can still see."i was so scared, mother had always talked about the humans and how dangerous they were, and when i thought about mother my hart heart and tiers filled my eyes. i promest myself that i wouldn't leave her, but i did....... and i didn't even get to say good bye...... when the beast stopped rumbling the humans opened a door and got out then they picked up my cage and walked towards a big grey thing with odd symbols on it. I was scared, where was i? The humans took me out of the cage and put me in a silver box. The box had bars on them and I couldn’t get out. The humans walked away and closed a big door behind them. I looked around and saw lots of other animals. Shacking I yelled across the room to a small creator. Hey! It turned to face me, “what?” what are you? And where I’m i? New aren’t you? You’re in the pound sweet heart and I’m a cat you should know that. Oh so how do you get out of here? Hmm you don’t sweet heart. My names shadow and I need to get out of here! You know for a dog you don’t know much, it’s not like dogs are smart but you take the cake. I’m not a dog! Oh then what are you? Umm…. Well I don’t know. You don’t know ha well just to let you know, you’re a dog “sweet heart!” ummm…. Haaa…. I laded down on the cold grown and fell asleep. I woke up with tears in my eyes I dreamed that mother was with me, we were in the forest under the old pine tree. I was chasseing a bug when mother called me over to the tree. She told me to lesson carefully, we layed down and I looked into her green eyes they were full of life and love. She told me, “no matter where you are I’m there, no matter how you go there I’m always right there beside you.” But mother I said where are you now? In the forest, by the river? No I’m in your hart my sweet, and I will never leave you. Mother if it wasn’t for me you’d be here right now, but it’s my flat. No this is how it must be now. Mother what do I do now? I’m lost far from home and have no one. You must go home back to the forest and take your place. What? My place, but how do I get home mother? Follow your instincts, and you will never be lost. Mother what do you mean? Mother? Mother?! The dream just made me miss her more. How would I get out of here? Hey cat! What? I was sleeping. Me too, but is there any way out of here? Ya…. Well how? You have to get adopted. Adopted? Ya when some human comes and points at you, they take you out of here. Then what? I don’t know never been picked. I thought that if I could get a human to adopt me I could get them to take me home. Then a small human came in it was a little girl. I thought, how do you get a human to adopt you? There was no time to ask the cat. I looked over at her she was playing and acting like she was having a good time. Then another little human walked in a boy. He looked at the silver boxes with animals in them, and then he pointed at the cat. The bigger human opened the box and picked her up. She didn’t struggle or try to escape. Then the boy and her left the room, I heard her say “see ya sweet heart” as she was carried away. The girl slowly examined each box, then stopped at mine. She just stud there and looked right into my eyes, I did the same. I wanted to act playful like the cat but I just sat there and watched her. Then she pointed at me and said “this one” I jumped when she moved but I was happy that she pointed at me. The bigger human came over and opened my box, he picked me up and gave me to the girl. As much as I wanted to run I didn’t, I knew I shouldn’t. She toke me out of the room to another room, with more colour. After a min. or so we went outside I began to squirm and try to run. But then I saw it, I knew it was the one, the beast….. The one that hit mother! It had her sent on it, I was positive it was her smell. But in the time I stopped squirming the human opened the door and put me in. in panic I couldn’t run. I couldn’t take being inside the beast that hit mother, it was to much and I sat shacking on the soft set waiting for it to end. When the beast stopped and I was taken out of it, I smelled mother’s sent again my eyes felt watery and I gave out a faint cry trying to say, “I’m sorry mother, I’m so sorry”. The little girl picks me up and shut the beast’s door. She took me into another big box witch she called “home” but it wasn’t my home. She put me inside and shut the door behind her and put me down. As I sat with my head tilted down to the hard smooth floor, I felt as if there was no reason to go back to the forest. Who was there? Not mother, and father left a long time ago before I was born. Then the girl said “hmm, oh I know, I beat you’re your hungry is all.” She got up and went into another room. I tilted my up and looked around. There weren’t any trees or bushes or even grass. Then I heard the girl say “mom do we have any dog food?” I sniffed the air, nothing seemed familiar to me. Then the other human said “it’s in the bottom cabinet next to the stove!” “Ok!” I got up and continued to look around the home. The girl came back into the room and said “here try this it’s beef flavoured!” I sniffed it and looked at it, it didn’t smell or looks like anything I’ve ever eaten. I always ate rabbits, deer, fish, birds, squirrels, skunks, and even foxes some times. But this stuff didn’t look anything like what I use to eat.” Go on try it, it’s not poisoned or anything.” I took a bit, it was awful! It was like dirt in a can! I spit it out and backed up from it. “haa? What don’t you like it puppy?” as I tried to get the awful taste out of my mouth, the girl took the dirt food back to the other room. The girl came back with some thing that smelled good! I ran over to her with joy, I don’t know why but I did. “woo, just hold on a min. girl. Here it’s real beef.” It tasted much better then that caned dirt food! But not as good as a rabbit. “I know you’d like the real beef!” after I finished the beef, the girl petted me and said “I love you so much shadow, and I’m so happy that your my puppy! As she gave me a big hug.” For once, after mother died, I felt a warm feeling, a happy feeling, love. I mead up my mind, I wasn’t going to lisen to some sad dream that I longed to come true, no I was going to stay here where I was loved. What was back home in the forest? Nothing. The girl picked me up and took me up some bumpy hill like hard things. “Don’t be afraid of the stares puppy.” Stares, they weren’t that frightening. She put me down in a new room she called “her room”. “here you go shadow, this is your bed.” I stepped into it, it was soft and comfortable. She got into her bed after she made the light disappear. It was dark; I snugged into a ball and slowly closed my eyes. And then I dreamed; shadow where are you? Mother is that you? Yes my sweet, it’s me. Oh mother iv’e missed you so, I must tell you about this human I meant! Hmm, go on. She so nice, she gives me love and yummy food, oh and the most comfortable bed! I think I want to stay with her mother. But shadow what about your destiny? Taking you place and living in the forest? But mother, I don’t even know what you mean about taking my place, and who is there to go back too, no one, I know lives in the forest any more. No that’s not true my sweet, you still have Dontara. Haa? But mother you told me that he left the forest. That was in the winter time shadow, its fall now. Dontara is back in the forest you must go back. Mother I’m only 8 months old, how do I make it home? Remember what I told you, use your instincts. Hmm…. Well I like it here mother. But you don’t even know what you are, do you? Yes, of course I know what I am. Oh then what are you? A dog, of course. No, that’s not true. But mother, that’s what the cat and the girl, and the other human said, they said I’m a dog! There all lies shadow. Well what am I mother? You need to find that out for yourself sweet heart. Now I must go shadow, you’ll see me in your dreams every now and then. Don’t go mother! I still have more questions! Mother! Mother!!; I woke up breathing heavily, it was still dark. A little light came from a thing that said “12:00”. I sat in my bed and thought, should I go back to the forest? Or stay here? If I leave the girl will be so sad, but if I don’t, I’ll never know what I am. I wish to know so badly! But no, no I’m not a puppy, I’m something much more, I just need to find out what it is. I had to go back to the forest, but how do I get out of the home? I thought about when I was looking around the home, I had seen a small door on the bigger door, I could feel cooled air coming from it and I could smell grass on the other side of it. I got up and ran down the stairs, into the room with the door, and stopped in front of it. How does it open? I hit it with my paw, it move! I jumped back, then came at it again, it moved some more, and then shut. I backed up as far as I could and ran full speed towers the little door, then, BAM!! I smacked head first into a wall. I felt dizzy and my head hurt. I shuck my head a few times to snap out of it. Then I lined myself up with the door, backed up as far as I could, and then rammed right throw the small door, rolling right into the wet grass. Though it hurt, it felt nice to be outside again. I looked around, on the other side of the black and yellow striped creator there was a forest. I sniffed the air, nothing familiar, but something told me to get throw it, was it my instincts? I heard a sound, a light flashed on. I panicked and ran towards the forest only to be stopped by a tall wall, “click” another light came on. I didn’t have time to look for an easy way around, it seemed as if there never was one any way. I stared to dig, I didn’t think to dig, I just stared to. “click” it was getting closer, I began to dig fast, and faster. “Click” I heard a voice calling my name. it was the little girl, but I didn’t stop digging, I knew if she found me, she would take me in the home and I would never get out. “Click” the light with the small door turned on. I stopped digging and looked at my hole. It was long enough that it was on the other side of the wall. I jumped into it, and tried to squeeze through. I could hear the door making a sound, I was stuck in the hole! As I push myself throw, the last ‘click’ I would ever hear again flicked on a light to the yard. With all my mite, I throw myself out of the hole, I ran so fast across the black and yellow striped creator, that I didn’t even know what was happening. The door swung open and the little girl came out, calling my name, “shadow! Shadow! Shadow where are you!? All of a student, I was falling. It felt like a long fall, but then I stopped, I opened my eyes, lying on the ground; I saw I was in a small stream of water that smelled very bad! The dirt covered my face, and cold air filled my fur with shivers. I could still hear the little girl, calling my name. Then everything got dark, very dark, and I, I feel asleep…… when I woke up, I couldn’t remember anything, well from that night anyway. I stud up slowly, the pain still coursing through me. The chunks for dirt and parts of ripped fur fall off. I looked behind me; the drop that I fell from was at least ten or more times taller than me. I turned to look in front of me, the woods; they were so big, and so beautiful. I limped turds them, and thought; is this my destiny? As I limped through the forest, beside a small creek, I stopped to rest myself. Then I heard a noise, it was another dog, or what were I was. She spotted me, “hey who are you?” my names shadow, “oh my names Vintira.” “Are you lost or something kid?” I’m not a kid, and I’m not even sure where I’m going. “Well then why don’t you just turn around and go back to where every you came from!” because I had a dream and it told me to go back. “back, back where house pet?” ah, if you think I’m a dog your wrong! “Didn’t say you were, but you smell like one….” “And you didn’t answer my question” ha… back to the woods with my brother…. “Who” ah? “Who’s your brother?” “is he a puppy pet too?” NO! Dontara is my brother and I’m going to find him! “ah” just then she stud up with a surprised exasperation on her face. “I didn’t know….. I didn’t know that dontara was your brother.” What? Why is that so important? “well if you must know, dontara is leader of the west wolf pack.” Wolf pack? Dose that mean that I’m a wolf?! “well dua!, you didn’t know what you were?” no….. “ummm…. Well since you don’t know where you’re going….” Ya? “well I could take you there, but just because I know where it is, and I feel bad for you.” As she jumped to the other side of the creek, were I was, she smirked at me and said “fallow me”. (later in the walk..) how long until we get there? …. Well first we have to go through this patch of forest, then we cross the road… what’s a road? Oh… its black, hard ground with line markings. Oh you mean the black creator with the yellow strip down its back. Ya, any way… then we have to go through some more forest, and then cross the river into the west wolf territory, which is where dontara is. Vintira what’s a river? Wow you have a lot to learn, but don’t weary I’ll teach you about everything. In all it takes about 4 days to get there, from here. ……..vintira…. what are wolves like? Ummm… well…. They hunt, and kill, and live on instances, and hate humans, and howl at the moon, and live in packs, and look fairly alike except for fur and eye colour I guess…. Im not like other wolves… why cuz you didn’t know that you were a wolf? No…. look at me…. I saw my reflection in the creek….. just look at me….. come on shadow your still a wolf. No how can I be?.... my fur has scars of silver on it, and my eyes are all white… no colour….. so? Not every wolf looks the same….. ya, but look at me…… I don’t even smell like a wolf… you will in time, and you’ll act like one too. Trust me shadow your special. I looked up at her, my eyes wet with tiers, maybe your right vintira, of course im right, im always right. It’s getting dark come on we’ll rest here for the night. We sat down by some big rocks, first lesson, dinner. Come with me, ok. Now when hunting always stay quiet, you never know when food will come along. Look over there, by that bush in the open grass, dinner. A bunny? Is it enofe? It’ll do… ok see how it’s trying to blend in with that bush? Ya I can barely see it. Well you want to do the same, so that it can’t see you comeing. But how im black and everything is green and brown. Well then you would hunt at night, when the shadows are out. I’ll kill this one today. So after you find a way to camouflage yourself, try to hid, keep your body as low to the ground as possible, make sure your paws have a frem grip on the ground. Try to sneak up behind it if you can, but be fast about it. Slowly get closer, but just out of sent view, and view. Then run up to it as fast as you can and sink your teeth right into its neck, don’t let go until it stops moving. Sounds easy enof. Ok now watch me… she quietly snuck up on the bunny, at times I lost sight of her, but then saw her again, charging after the bunny. It ran full speed, but vintira was too close to it now. Vintira jumped up high in the air and seemed to come flying down like an eagle flying low and snatching up its lunch. The bunny disaperd under her, after a loud cry it was silent, then vintira stud up with the bunny in her mouth. Dinner. I sniffed it and tore off a peace of skin, this is really good. Thanks. We went back to the big rocks to eat. We laid down, the bunny in front of us, vintira across from me. …..vintira? ya shadow? You said that all wolves live in a pack, ya so? ….well wares your pack? ……..umm……now’s not the time shadow….. why? What happened? ….. it’s nothing ok…… I just don’t like to talk about it….. There’s to many bad memories…. Besides it’s a long story….. Well we have a long way to go and a lot of time too. Vintira looked up at me with a smile … maybe tomorrow shadow…… maybe tomorrow. In the morning I got up only to see that vintira was gone! I called out her name, VINTIRA! VINTIRA! Where are you?! Hey! Shut up! Your going to give me a head ack. Why are you yelling for me any way, can’t wait to hear my story? No I thought you left me…… like mother….. I put my head down and teirs filled my eyes again. Vintira frounded, hey its ok shadow, why don’t you tell me why you’re here, and not with your mother and the wolfpack? …. I sniffled, and looked up at her, ok….. come on we should get moving. As we walked I told her about mother…… well me and mother were injoying another nice summer night, I smelled some thing new and different and I went to go find it. I came to the road and looked to the other side, I thought mabe there were other small wolves like me on the other side. I was scared to cross it, I put my paw on it and figured it was safe enof the cross. As I did a beast came by me, I tried to get home,but…… it came back…… I cryed for mother, and I just stud there……I just stud there….. I closed my eyes to let the tires rolls down my face, vintira looked over at me, it must have been alful, we sat down and I continued…. Mother came in at the last sec. we were almost acrost when…….. it hit mother….. I flew to the other side of the road, and let her die….. no shadow its not your falt,that’s just how it was, you couldn’t save her….. I got up and stared to walk, I remember her so well, her green eyes full of life, her brown fur so warm, and her loving voice always making me feel safe. I promised my self I wouldn’t leave her but I did….. what kind of wolf am i? vintira stud up and ran over to me, I was walking so slow, I think you’re a great wolf, a very lucky and specile wolf shadow. I tilted my head up, to look at her, thanks vintira, you know I felt so lonely and sad, until I meant you.. she looked over at me really? Ya. Well I felt the same way shadow. I cleared the tires from my eyes, so what about vintira? Well its not as sad as yours but….. here it gos…..when I was a pup my mother left me by a fence, she told me that she would be back soon, and to stay put. After a wail I heard a human coming so I jumped in to a big line of flowers, but the human found me, I don’t know why I didn’t run, but I didn’t. the human picked me up, she said, “are you lost little one? My you must be alone, well don’t worry I’ll take care of you little puppy!” I lived with her for a few years, and you know made friends with the other dogs in town, and even forgot I was a wolf. I was given a coller too. But one day the small corgie named Ocser….. He said that he was told about me when the human first found me, I looked at him and told him not to tell any one that I was in love with the german shepored Roscko, he told me to lisen carefuly, he said vintira you’re a wolf, at the time I couldn’t belive it and yelled back at him no! im not a wolf! Why were you so mad about being a wolf? Well ocser use to tell me that wolves and dogs never mixed, at the time I was in love with the wolf, and wanted to be with one. But ocser said wolves can’t love dog…. So I was very up set, it was like him saying that I wasn’t alond to love, I told him, no I love roscko and im going to tell him that. Ocser lashed out at me and said, no! wolves can’t love dog!!! Out of my way oscer! No! its not right! You can never love any one but a wolf!!! I lashed out in full furey…… I didn’t hold back, I gave him all I had….. there was blood every where in a sec. he cryed out for help… but it was to late….. Ammber, his “girl” came running up, I just stud there looking at his bloody body, amber pushed me out of the way. I stud looking at them relizing what I had done….. amber turned around, “monster…….” “its no wonder you were always so…. Different…” she smirked at me and said “your not one of us…. You don’t blone here!” I paniced and ran off, later I ran into dontara, he offerd me a home, and safty, but I said no, he showed me how to hunt and stuff, and then he just disaperd, into the fog…… wow and now were both going to find him, crazy hm? Ya crazy.
