Free scorpion spiders adopts.

Postby Day Of Silence » Fri Sep 02, 2011 2:56 pm

adopt a spider scorpion. it's not going to be a fancy adoption centre but it'll be one. thinking of doing other styles.

The scorpion/spider is a cross between, well duh, a scorpion and spider. it only has 6 legs while a normal spider and scorpion have 8 legs each. even with six eyes, this spider/scorpion doesn't have the greatest eye sight. it's two longish tentacle things capture the scents around. between the tentacles are two fangs which are extremely powerful and can inject a deadly poison into anything it can grab onto. although filled with deadly poison, the spider/scorpion is unable to kill a human with the portions of poison it uses. it's scorpion tail is very flexible and swift. with a blade at the end, it is another weapon for the spider/scorpion, it's edge is as sharp as a knife blade. the blade is sometimes able to have poison in it as well but it is rarely found. it's chain is made of old dragons scales, which the powerful fangs of the spider scorpion is unable to penetrate. the chain is only used to keep the spider scorpion from hunting down the winning spider scorpion in it's last battle. like Fury and Flash (spiders from the books Deltora Shadow lands by Emily Rodda) it is determined to win, and if it lost, will hunt down the victor and battle again.

Rules:

do not steal.
do not be rude.
please be patient.
Suggestions are welcome and greatly appreciated.
I most likely will be looking for an artist if this thing takes off (which i very highly doubt.)
a spider without a chain is a wild one and can be claimed by anyone.
and if you have any names for this spieces besides spider/scorpion, i'd love to hear them.

Quite a few major anatomy mess-ups...if you'd let me, I could do a redlines...maybe just to help you improve your arachnid creation a little, as a Tarantula fanatic, just thought I'd point this out...or just do a basic sketch...just a few things, the legs and pedipalps ought to be jointed, and the fangs actually would fold under the carapiece, instead of hanging out as they are. Also, a scorpian's tail always has 7 segments, of course, as this is your own species, feel free to ignore my comments...

Yes the legs Are wrong, I haven't studied spiders or scorpions so lots of what you said io did not know. But this did start as a quick sketch and I clearly did onto bother to edit it. I'll probably redo it, but the fangs are. Supposed to be out with this cross. Thank you.

Well, the pedipalps are the "feeder legs", what an arachnid uses to eat, the carapiece is the center body-section of an arachnid, and an arachnid is a group containing Scorpions, Spiders, and various other 8 legged creatures.

My comments were not meant to be rude, but I was simply attempting to assist you, I suggest googling images of scorpians and arachnids, since, even if it is a made up species, there are basic anatomy laws you'll want to read up on.

Yah, I just checked out spider anatomies. I didn't think you were being rude.
