This is a species that I have made up called the Ominotago, which means "pleasent voice" in Chippewa indian. I may say Omin for short.
"The Ominotago are very similar to a wolf in basic structure, being the arms, legs, and face. But they have spikes coming from the sides of their heads, their shoulders, and their necks down to the base of their tail. These spikes are used to scare off predators, and for display (males trying to impress females). These wolf-like creatures are special because their eyes, and the tips of their spikes change color with their mood. They also 'sing' many different melodies, which is why they are called Ominotago. They use their songs to speak to each other, and they are very beautiful."
