Overview

Akumion (singular and plural) are a race created
by a long-gone God as caretakers and servants.
They are built for a multitude of services, one
of the reason for their lithe build and dexterous
limbs. They are intelligent, but their IQ ranges
the same way humans' do.

I don't think they have enough traits to be considered a
closed species but oh well.

Traits

Categorised most recognisably by their large
claws - four on their forepaws and three smaller
ones with one larger claw on their back paws.

Their ears are traditionally large to provide them
with an accurate reading of sound and a sharp
nose gives them a keen sense of smell. Akumion
teeth are largely canine. They have good night
vision being traditionally nocturnal, and very
bright light can cause significant discomfort.

Akumion claws are crystalline in structure, and
very hard and durable. They glitter in light, and
tend to be brighter than the rest of the base coat.
They are not flexible, meaning an Akumion only
has two joints per 'finger', rather than the human
three. Their forepaws have three 'finger' digits
and one opposable 'thumb'. Their back paws have
three four toes with paw pads similar to cats
and dogs.

Akumion also boast beautiful and hugely flexible
tails that can be used like an extra limb for
wrapping around things. Their tails are stronger
than any of their other appendages, and are very
useful. Therefore, Akumion with short or no tails
are considered less competent and those with
multiple tails are looked up to. Tails come in a
variety of shapes and forms, but the most common
is long and thin, sometimes with fur down the
ridge and fluff on the end.

Habits

Akumion each have a very individual personality,
much like humans. They are sociable creatures
but there are a few that prefer to play the lone
wolf. These are rare, however. Due to their
intelligence, they have good problem solving
skills and adore a good mental challenge. They
won't hesitate to work in teams in order to
achieve their goals either.

Akumion also like to stay fit, and overweight
ones are a rarity. They don't tend to overindulge
themselves, but there are, of course, exceptions
to this rule. Akumion tend to walk upright when
engaging a slower pace, but they prefer to run on
all fours.
