🧵 Species Rules 🧵

General Rules:
- You must follow all CS rules both here and on the Discord.
- You cannot claim another person's embroidog as your own.
- You may have an unlimited number of embroidogs.
- If you win an embroidog in a contest, you must way one week before entering for another
- You may buy however many you want.
- If you bought an embroidog, you may resell or trade it for the value you bought it for + the value you put in. No more than that.
* this means if you bought it for 10 c$, paid 100 c$ in art, you may resell it for 110 c$
- You may trade embroidogs for MYOs or other characters
- If selling an embroidog you must post change of ownership on the [url]archive[/url]
- Always credit: the designer of the adopt, me (Valyria) for ownership, and Scei for original lines
- If you are banned you may transfer designs out of species. They will not be revoked, but will not be counted as embroidogs anymore
- Staff have up to a month to judge/end contests. If it has been longer please pm me (Valyria) about it.

MYO Rules:
- As of 11/17/19 you can no longer make your own embroidog without a MYO ticket
- You may trade MYO tickets, or sell them for the value they are worth
- You must post your MYO with a "fake" sign until approved
- You may hire whoever you want to make your design for you.
- You must post proof of MYO on your thread with the design
- As of now, only I (Valyria) can approve MYOs. You are welcome to pm me if it has been more than 48 hours with no approval.

Note: I'm not claiming ownership of the traits of this species, but this concept, and being an official embroidog must stick to these rules.

Ban System:
We operate on a three strike system, with a little more leeway. If you have been permanently banned and wish to appeal please pm Valyria.
1st offense: Warning
2nd offense: Strike
3rd Offense 2nd Strike
4th Offense: 3rd Strike
5th Offense: Permanent Ban

Warning - Nothing held against you provide you correct what you were warned about
1st Strike - You will be unable to purchase/create MYOs or create artist entries
2nd Strike - In addition to above, you will no longer be able to participate in events or submit nursery tickets
3rd Strike - In addition to above, you will no longer be able to adopt more embroidogs
Ban - Your embroidogs will be null, and you will no longer be able to participate in the species. All items you had purchased will have no value and will be null. You will be allowed to transfer your designs out of species.

Strikes expire after 30 days provided behavior does not continue

- If you have items that no longer apply to this current version of the species, please pm me and we can work out a way to get their value/use sorted out.
- If you have an embroidog with a currently banned trait that wasn't banned before, it is still a valid embroidog. Just know that if bred, those traits will not transfer to offspring

🧵 Trait Guide 🧵

- You MYO can have any number of these edits per tier, and can have edits from lower tiers -

- Standard -
- Yarn shape change*, heterochromia, added nails/claws, weight change, any variety of colors, pupil shape
*yarn cannot be shaped into wings or limbs (such as a fish tail) at this stage

- Common -
- longer teeth/fangs, long fur, nose shape change, muzzle length change, tongue shape change

- Uncommon -
- Yarn shaped into functioning wings, extra teeth, missing limbs/appendages, additional eyes (including on body),

- Rare -
- Yarn shaped into functioning appendages (such as shark tail/hand/fins/etc), extra limbs/appendages, parts of body made of glass (must be less than 50%), ears not made of yarn, horns

- Legendary -
- Be made of material other than stuffing, multiple sets of wings, plant/crystal growth, gene splicing (less than 50%), muzzle shape change (such as a beak), changes in limbs (such as making hooves/claws/etc), multiple tongues, multiple mouths

- Unlimited -
- Customs lines, any edits you can dream of that are not banned, ability to have powers (such as elemental, magical, etc)

- Banned Traits -
- Removing back or tail yarn (the only yarn that may be removed can be ears.)
- Not having a tag as a tongue (can change shape however)
- Having blood/muscles/bones inside embroidogs (with legendary they can be made of stone, filled with plants, air, etc, just nothing "living"

Embroidogs with physical disabilities, such as being deaf/blind/etc, being scarred, or having some sort of mental illness are not restricted traits to anything. You may include these in your embroidogs, but if I see you trying to romanticize these things or treat them with disrespect you will be issued a strike.

- Limited Traits -
These traits must be approved by me no matter what tier MYO you have
- Embroidogs that are bigger than a standard dog.
- Embroidogs that can fluently speak human languages (currently there's just one)
- Embroidogs that have god-like ability
- Ghost/Spirit embroidogs







MYO Shop / Purchases

To purchase a MYO/item send me (Valyria) a trade with your c$. Once accepted, post a form in the archive to validate it

- Standard MYO: 50 c$
- Common MYO: 80 c$
- Uncommon MYO: 100 c$
- Rare MYO: 150 C$

-Legendary/Unlimited MYOs are not available for purchase except on special occasions.

- Standard Edit: 10 c$
- Common Edit: 20 c$
- Uncommon Edit: 30 c$
- Rare Edit: 40 c$






Character Development Points

Since I know that not everyone has c$, another way that you can earn your MYO or edit is through developing your embroidogs!

How this works:
- Complete a task
- Keep track of your tasks completed (whether on a thread or your own personal note)
- Fill out a form on the archive to claim your points
- Save up and spend! To buy you must post on the archive

1 point = 1 c$, therefore it will cost the same number of points as c$
*example: A standard MYO is 50 c$ so it would cost 50 points

How to earn points (you can do this multiple times):
- Draw a picture of your embroidog (must be colored): 10 points
- Write their backstory (minimum 200 words): 10 points
- Tell me about their home (minimum 200 words): 10 points
- Write a story/poem/etc with your embroidog (minimum 500 words): 15 points
- Draw a scene with your embroidog: 15 points
- Any writing you do under 200 words: 5 points
- Any art you do that's uncolored: 5 points
- Incorporating additional embroidogs/characters into art/stories: +5 points per character
- Every additional 200 words over 500 words: +5 points per 200 words
- Extra detail/spark of creativity: +5-20 points, awarded by Valyria
