The sound of train tracks rumbling startled all cats in the village. Your mother runs into your den. " Wake up, the train is here! " She urged, and ran out towards the tracks. You stumble to your paws and follow after her. You see all cats of the village, including your mother and father, chasing down the train. You join them, and your mother pushes you in front of her. " Jump! " She called. You keep running, but ready to jump. You spring up, and grip the old wood floor of the large vehicle. Your mother and father push through the cats to push you on. You get up, and reach for your parents, but the train begins to speed up. Your mother seems happy for you, but wails as she watches you disappear into the distance. You get one last look at your parents as your father comforts her. You start leaping from cart to cart until you reach a few cats. You ask them why they aren't farther into the train, but they say it's full. You see a kit and it's mother, an old she cat, and a few young adults. You sit down to think, but slowly drift to sleep. You wake up to a snap and the cries of the kit you saw earlier. You see the kit with the elder. The old she cat is comforting the child, and you notice everyone has horrified looks on their faces. You look between the carts to see fur and blood covering the tracks, the train gets faster. You start panicking, and ask the elder what happened. " She was sitting right here, then we heard the screech of a cat, and we saw her being shredded by the wheel. " She explained, backing the kit away from the opening between the carts. You follow them, horrified. Everyone tries to sleep. You wake up to another snap, but this time its the wheels breaking. Everyone is then panicking, and then you crash. You gain consciousness again, and you look to see the tracks, cats littered everywhere, cacti, sand, but no train. The train was gone. You look up to see a figure looking over you. " We have been expecting you all. " The voice said. You then saw a spiky furred cat standing above you. " I am Cactus. " He introduced himself. He helps you to your paws. " You are probably wondering how we knew you were coming, and who we are. " He assumed. " Well, I'll start with who we are. I already said I'm Cactus, but over there is my mate, Fridge, and my best friend, Holly. " He gestured towards two cats in the distance, tending to other cats that were on the train. " How I knew you all were coming? Well, this has happened before, the same crash, same train, that coincidentally goes by all cursed towns. I was on one of those trains. Same with Fridge and Holly. Sadly, this is not the first time this has happened, and it most certainly won't be the last. " He murmured. He then drops a canteen in front of you. " Take this. " He pushes it towards you. You sniff it. " It's cactus water. " He explains. You sniff again and he is right. " This will be your life source, run out of water, run out of life. " He explains with a dark tone. " I must go help others. " He said. You nod you head in thanks, then get to your paws. There is still much you don't know, but you do know that this is your life now.
