what is a painterpup?
a painterpup (also known as a painterpuppy, or pp) is a crossover creature between a wolf and a dragon. they have a fluffy built of what represents their wolf counterparts, and small wings to represent their dragon aspects, respectively. the wings however, are not capable of keeping a painterpup in the air, and thus may only be used to glide short distances. due to their huge ears, their hearing is excellent and has a huge affect on their living. although painterpups dont come with the best sense of smell, their great hearing surely makes up for it.
painterpups live for a combination of different, exotic fruits and chicken! they plan their meals carefully beforehand, and are usually found sitting in a nice spot enjoying their fresh collection of foods.
another major trait that unites the painterpups, is their ability to paint with their tails. they use this to reflect their personalities, as each painterpup has a unique way of expressing themselves and their interests. their paint color will simply depend on the fruit(s) theyve eaten in the past 24 hours, but will remain and fade, if a painterpup hasnt eaten anything the next day. a painterpup with white paint is considered an alarming sign, as this usually means they have not been able to find food and are starving. black paint on the other hand will simply tell you, that a painterpup has most likely caught a cold and is sick.
painterpups are mainly found in warmer climates, where they search for open areas with little trees and spend their nights underneath the leaves. theyre generally really healthy and can live up to an unknown amount of years.

these guys have made their return after two years of inactivity, so have a look around on this fresh new thread and make yourself familiar!!
» rules!
♥ painterpups are a closed species, meaning you may not create your own.
♥ the limit of how many painterpups you can own is five (5), for now (this includes any nursery pups and adopts, but excludes customs and myos)
♥ you may not sell or trade your painterpups.
♥ you may not edit your painterpups design or lineart once you own them, but you may request a revamp after a certain amount of time has passed, if you feel like youre not connecting to your painterpup well enough.
♥ make sure to contact me (chicaa) about readopting/gifting/revamping your painterpups before taking on any action!
♥ you may draw, roleplay and take your painterpups offsite, as long as im credited for the species and the rightful artist is given a credit for the design.
♥ be polite and treat everyone with respect.
♥ pm me for any questions, and have fun!
» staff rules!
♥ each staff member is given two (2) custom slots, which they may decide whether to use on themselves or choose to gift the slot to someone else (this excludes guest artists, which may create one (1) custom, but are still allowed to gift their slot if requested)
♥ selling your custom slot(s) is not allowed.
♥ moderators must remain calm and act professional under all circumstances, but may of course pm me for help if things happen to get out of hand.
♥ artists have the freedom to create as many adopts as theyd like, with edits of their own choosing (as long as the main lineart is recognizable and a list of edits is brought up)
♥ guest artists may create up to five (5) adopts (and one (1) custom, which doesnt count towards the limit), with small edits (hair, minor changes to the tail and ears, accessories etc.)
♥ no major editing on the ears, tail and wings! those are the key features of the species, so id like to keep them recognizable. <3
♥ spend time on your designs! i highly value quality over quantity.
