Prompt:
They carefully approached the fluffy white snow, confused and curious. They sniffed it, only to have it melt beneath their nose when the molten rock filled their lowered head. They scowled and tried again, placing a foot in a little pile the snow. It sizzled beneath them. They lifted their little foot, examining it carefully. It felt a bit cooler than before and condensation had formed along it. They were becoming more curious than confused as they investigated further. They hopped into the snow, landing gently on their tummy. The snow felt soft and cool. They rolled over, and once more the snow sizzled away beneath them. They rolled back over onto their tummy, looking rather disheartened. They stood up and shook the condensation off their silicone shell. Perhaps what they had found didn't like them? In a puddle now, they looked down, eyes lighting up. They grew cheery once again realizing where they stood. The water was warm and rather soothing. They hopped, making a splash. And another. And another. They ran through the snow, making more puddles, then turning back to splash in them again. Maybe what they had found just wanted them to have a little fun. (end)
