Prompt: It was a cold, winter day and I decided to head outside. I threw on my scarf and shoes, grabbed my house keys, and walked outside. The ground was frosty, which was unusual. The only reason I knew about the word is because of the lively snowman showed in children's tales. I shrugged it off and began to walk down the sidewalk. I tried to avoid the grass, but the curiosity of how it would feel when frosty got the best of me. I hesitantly put a foot in the grass. The grass made a loud crunch under my feet as it gave way to my weight and pressed against the frozen ground. The frost on the grass around me began to melt from an unknown source. Confused but curious, I walked further into the grass. The same thing happened. The frost melted, and the grass stayed lifeless and brown. I shrugged a bit and walked out of the grass, continuing my morning walk. I flinched when I felt something cold touch my nose. I looked up, confused. Nothing was around me! I shuddered and continued walking down the icy sidewalk. After I while, I felt more and more tiny, cold drops touching my body. I made a scared noise and looked up to the sky. There were millions of small, white things falling from the sky. I hesitantly held my paw out to catch one of the things. One landed on my paw and instantly melted. I stared at the other ones falling from the sky. Looking closely, I noticed it was... beautiful! The small objects all looked somewhat different in some way, shape, or form. I realized I was standing in the middle of the sidewalk, stricken with wonder. "You ain't never seen snow before or somethin'?" I heard a voice say. I looked up and there was a man on a bike who clearly wanted to get around me. "N-No sir." I said nervously as I stepped out of the way. The man shook his head and began biking away. I looked at the ground, embarrassed. I began walking home, happy and embarrassed. [350/350]
