This species doesn't have a name yet! I'm holding a competition for naming the species here!
__ are semi-aquatic mammals that live in burrows near bodies of water. They feed mostly off of tree nuts, berries, and fish. When found along beaches, they tend to have slimmer bodies and sleeker fur. The beach variety also has a slightly different diet of fish and mussels.
While they are mostly land dwellers, their bodies are more built for swimming than walking on land, and as such, while they are adept swimmers, they're a bit clumsy on land.
They can identify with any gender, and have any sexual orientation.
So long as they're not related, and two of them of any gender can breed.
