What is a Glasswing you say?
It's a bird. Actually technically not one, since they have fur. Well, the best way I can describe it, is that they usually look like a hummingbird/bat/butterfly/fox/dragon hybrid of some sorts, but they can have different traits than that, but that's usually a bit hard to see. However, no, their wings aren't made of glass, we just called them that, due to how when light shines, they reflect it, similar to how glass works. The only thing that is really glass is the heart-shaped thing in the middle of their translucent neck, called the soul stone, which basically contains their soul; there are some that lack these, which are typically very rare, and dangerous at the same time. Their eyes always seem to be closed, but sometimes, there are some that have their eyes open, which are very unique, with no two having the same eyes. They are rumored to have special powers, and some of which if these, can be as violent as the few without a soul stone.
They live on a unidentified dwarf planet(about the size of the moon). The planet seems to be split in the middle; one side it only water, the other is land. One side is basically chaos, while the other is a garden of eden, at least, to the Glasswings.
They are typically a peaceful species, and can easily bond with anything, though it is recommended that you keep them away from small children and other pets. Their diet consists of meat, inscects, fruits, and occasionally, nectar. They will eat anything that is in that category that is smaller than them, and they're about the size of a 4'll person. They can physically adapt to any enviroment, as long if it's not too extreme for them. They are also a advanced species ; while they are completely mute, they can learn to read and write.
Glasswings are a social, but solitary species. Sometimes they may form flocks, but they usually only consist of 3 to 5 members. They may occasionally team up to take down prey larger than them, but, that's about it. They can't die from old age, but they can die from everything else, as a matter of fact.
They can die from grief also, if they are inseparable. Their soul stone shatters when they die, but, if put back together, or combined with other shards from other deceased Glasswings, they can be reborn(in the case if the stone is put back together with the other shards corresponding to them), or become a completely new glasswing. Very rarely, a glasswing may be still be able to live, without their soul stones.

Open eyes(can be one or both), wing edits, partially feathered wings,and differently shaped soul stone
Very rare:
Please note: Staff may make customs up to this level, but may not make them available to adopt, unless I give them permission for something special
Horns/Antlers, Halos, Extra limbs/eyes, anything not mentioned in the previous rarities above.
Rules:
As much as some people don't like rules, we gotta have them, otherwise then this'll go out of control. Here are the rules:
Glasswings are a closed species; you may not make them, nor you can ask for customs.
All of Tess's rules apply.
You may take these offsite; please link them to this thread, though.
You cannot sell these, as it is unfair to me and the artists.
You may own up to ten for now, staff may have twelve.
You may trade or gift your glasswing, but please contact the archivist so they can update it
Same goes for rehoming a glasswing, once a new owner has been chosen, pm the archivist.
You may not edit the lines, or color of your Glasswing, unless if you're changing the expression, adding acessories, or changing background.
You may not make your Glasswing your fursona.
If any of these are broken, it'll result in a warning, and if done again, it will result in a strike. 3 strikes and you're out, basically. If someone is doing severe offenses, it may lead to instant ban. I reserve the right, if you are banned, to revoke your Glasswings, and put them back up for readoption.
