What are Ningeists? Well thier name comes from the french word of canine, canin, and geist meaning ghosts. This is because they are a small, canine-like ghost. These ethereal creatures can become transparent, and completely disappear, and then re-become solid. They can range, but most Ningeists' are independent like creatures and prefer to live on their own, or in small groups.

Rules-
Respect, respect, respect. Respect other members, and especially staff. Do not steal someone's Ningeist or complain if you don't get the Ningeist you wanted. You may make a Ningeist your OC, and you may take them offsite, but DO NOT claim them as your own idea or species! Drawing your (another person, if you have permission from them) is perfectly allowed as long as, again, you do not claim as your own. No, we do no not make customs, however artists may create customs for themselves (More about that in staff rules). Please do not ask to be a mod/artist, we may hold comps in the future.

Staff Rules-
All artists may make customs at will, however so you do not create too many, there is a one per month limit. Please do not create a design within 2 minutes or anything, we want nice designs. Do not ever steal any designs. Line edits are just fine, but do not completely alter the lines or get too crazy. Normal artist rules, and have common sense.

Adoption information:

for all you first time adopters, don't worry! We will be here! PM me if you need extra help!

If you are coppa, send a trade saying "I saw your post saying that you were giving away free stuff, so can I please have this? I can't add codewords or post in the forum, sorry" if you want to learn about Adopting

We will hold adoption contests very often, so keep an eye out if your interested!
In order to adopt, you have to

1. Click on the Niegeist you want to adopt by going to the original drawing and looking under "versions of this drawing by other people" (or whatever it's called)

2. Post the form to have a chance to win your Nigeist!

The most common competition formats are Naming Contests. A naming contest is when you have to make up the most creative/beautiful name for the Nigeist you want to adopt! Another form is the Lucky Number form. This is where you have to pick a number (mainly between 1-20) then once we have enough people (or it has been going on for 24 hours) we will randomly generate a number and the person who guessed that number, wins! The Lucky Number form will only be used to adopt rare and event Nigeists.

If you are the only person who posts to win your Nigeist and no one else posts within 24 hours, you will automatically win!

hello there!
I'm here to announce that we have a new competition!
That's right, an Artist Competition!
Now, there is a rule I have to lay down before I describe how to enter

Be nice; please don't be rude to other contestants or to the winners!

Okay now I will tell you how to enter!

First, this is a creativity competition! I want to see how amazingly creative you all are, and I have come up with the perfect way to test that...

Design a Mascot!
That's right! You can design a mascot for the adoptables!
Now I know, this is only a new adoptable species, so why even bother?
Well, I'm hoping these guys will catch on soon, and I'm having a bit of trouble coming up with some mascots, so I could use some help!

There will be 3 winners, the chosen mascots will

1st place: represent the entire adoptable species (don't worry! You WILL get credit! We aren't art thieves!)
2nd place: represent the store portion once we have that (again, you WILL receive credit, both under the drawing and on your listing as a staff member!)
3rd place: represent the "Pound" section of the thread (still, you WILL get credit)

Everything you draw, even if you do or don't win, will remain YOURS and you are completely free too use them as characters, or give them to us if you aren't interested in keeping them!
