- Birdra - general information.
Birdra's, or BA's, were lab made. they have plain white eyes, but, they are normally sightless birds. meaning, although they have eyes, they can't exactly "see" out of them. there is a different in the way the eye looks during the day and during the night. the eyes of a Birdra glow their eye color, but the "white" of the eye itself never changes color. the birdra has a wingspan of 9 feet. the adult birdra's can fly for days at a time. unlike their babies. the birdra's migrate every late spring, early summer to colder climates. and towards late summer, early fall, back towards colder climates. birdra's are fur covered except for their wings and heads. around their necks is a large and fluffy patch of fur that is soft to the touch. a birdra's tail can reach up to 10 feet long, and the shortest tail ever recorded is at about 3 feet. on a birdra's wings, their is 3 layers of feather and on the very end of the wings are a birdra's claws. a birdra's legs and paws are the same structure as a wolf. although their thicker, furrier and more muscular. a birdra's hind claws can only be half-sheathed. they don't retract all the way.. those claws can reach up to 6 inches long. their heads are made out of skulls. it's all bone. the claws are bone as well. their hearing, and sense of smell is amazing. they can hear even the slightest vibration of a mouse moving across the earth. they can smell anything and everything up to a 2 mile radius. their tongues are long and they often drool. even at the sight of nothing. they have teeth, all made for their main food. meat. and meat in general.
it is uncommon for birdra's to eat humans, but once in a while they'll go for it. they are carnivores, and will eat berries if they have to, and their's no other food source for miles. they all have some kind of paint marking that represents their clan. that goes on their face. the color of the markings represents the clans. the color of the "goop" in the lantern/ stone/ or pendent represents the birdra's eye color and soul. or what it use to be anyways, loose that, and your birdra is dead. well inside. it still functions. basically like a zombie. the feathers a male birdra looses are harvested and used for many things by many different people and animals that come across them. inside the feather's contents, if used correctly, they can be used to heal the wounded, sick, or dying. a male birdra can easily weigh up to over 300 pounds. females, barely topping 200. the birdra, can eat anything. from small mice up to a large bear. but rarely sea-bearing animals. ______________________________________________________________________________

the green markings - if your birdra has green markings on it's skull it is by law, apart if the green clan.

clan these guys have a bit more wisdom, than the other birdra's in the other clans.
the orange markings - if your birdra has orange markings on it's skull it is by law, apart if the orange clan.

your birdra can have any shade of green markings. but it still stays in that clan. these guys have a bit
less "sanity" for-say, than the other birdra's in the other clans.
if any other birdra has any other color marking or not markings, they are a rogue and don't belong
to any clan. so if that's so. these guys are mainly insane.

- Birdra - breeding information.
when the time comes for the birdra to breed, you need to know a few things.
the males will sue their horns, teeth, claws, and different abilities and "go into combat" for-say with the other males in the clan. female birdra's can have up to 3-4 offspring at a time, in a clutch. the offspring in a birdra's family can't fly. and when they migrate, they usually hitch a ride on their clan member's backs. it is common for a supposed litter of 3 to have only one or two of them survive the trip. them being so small. the male offspring don't get their feathers until they are adult, and they don't get their necklaces until they go through the round trip of their migration. their claws are small, and you don't normally see them unless their play-fighting with their brothers, sisters or even other clan members. an offspring's tail is only half the adult size, and their hair is like little tufts on their head, like miniature mohawks for-say. their diet is berries and small animals, nothing big. and they are maybe up to an average human's hip. and don't weigh very much. ______________________________________________________________________________
