Aging Thread

Sky Wyrm Dragons are a newly discovered species of dragon. They don't possess any back legs or wings, and this is a trait believed to never be bred out of their DNA. Sky Wyrms have long, sleek bodies, and a long face to go with it. They have short, silky fur covering their bodies and have scales to protect their chest and soft underbelly; these scales are much like a snake's.
Even though Sky Wyrms have no wings, our scientists have discovered they can still fly using the 'magical' powers that they as a species have. They're also able to make their markings glow, and like your typical mythical dragon they can breath fire. Even so, these three things tend to be the only things they have power-wise.

Welcome to the Sky Wyrm nursery! Here, you can breed either you're own two Sky Wyrms. Or, if you and someone else have mated your two Wyrms, you can breed them as well!

But, we need to keep this place running smoothly; so first we need to go over the basics~!


⚛ ~ An adult Sky Wyrm's average body length is 1-4 Meters(3-12 feet)
⚛ ~ Their average weight is 30-80 Kilograms(66-176 pounds)
⚛ ~ Their Fan-like tail, claws, scales(Back and Belly), and horns are always the same color(s). While their body can be completely different.
⚛ ~ A Sky Wyrm's lifespan is about 100 years, but they aren't considered an adult until about 30 years.⚛ ~ Their diet consists of any animal they can catch, usually birds. They will also eat fruit.
⚛ ~ Sky Wyrms don't usually have complex patterns, and have no more than 5 colors.
⚛ ~ Can make markings glow.
⚛ ~ Sky Wyrm Dragons usually travel in small 'packs' formed over time. These packs can be up to thirsty Sky Wyrms each, but more commonly have about 12-15 Sky Wyrms.
⚛ ~ Very rarely are found in the wild, but aren't necessarily domestic.


⚛ ~ First rule is to obviously respect everybody. I want this to be fun, and really don't feel like making another Sky Wyrm thread so soon!
⚛ ~ Don't steal anything that isn't yours.
⚛ ~ Don't complain if you don't get the wyrm you wanted. c: There will be more, and there's no guarantee you will be gifted one. But you can always adopt!
⚛ ~ You may not own more than 4 Wyrms from the nursery. If you are staff, then the limit is 5.
⚛ ~ Please no spamming! You can ask questions, and post forms/mark, but no spam!
⚛ ~Don't revamp your Sky Wyrm(s) without the Artist and my own permission


Even after the rules above, we still have some things you need to know about breeding. c:

⚛ ~ It is not uncommon for a Sky Wyrm to have twins; but it is much more common for them to have one.
⚛ ~ Only Male+Female pairs may breed. Same gender couples can be mates, but the only form of them having children currently is to adopt an orphan Wyrm.
⚛ ~ A pair of Sky Wyrms can only breed five times in a lifetime; and may only breed once every four weeks.
⚛ ~ Sky Wyrms usually mate for life, but may divorce and find a new mate WITH PERMISSION from me.


Everyone loves baby wyrms, but we still don't know much about them since they are still fairly new to us scientists. So, why not share what we know about them?

⚛ ~ Sky Wyrms are hatched from soft eggs with a silky but solid shell.
⚛ ~ A baby Wyrm is only about a half-meter long, once hatched.
⚛ ~ And only weighs around ten pounds.
⚛ ~ A baby Sky Wyrm can't glow until it's around five-seven years old.
⚛ ~ Some babies have FBS; Forever Baby Stage. This happens when an owner decides they want their baby small forever, or if at least one parent carries it.
⚛ ~ When young, a Sky Wyrm communicates with small squeaks; later maturing into barks and growls.
⚛ ~ A Sky Wyrm stays with it's parents/pack until he/she is 20 years old. Then they can either stay, or leave to make their own pack.

You may be wondering, what exactly IS FBS?

FBS is when a sky wyrm stays in the baby stage forever. If your Wyrm has FBS, He/She CAN NOT breed. However, they can have mates and adopt due to having an adult mind.

Only Wyrms from the nursery can have FBS, but some adult Wyrms can carry it.
Even if your nursery wyrm doesnt have it, you can tell the artist you want it to stay FBS and it wont grow, ever. c: But be careful. because once it's done; it's done!

Sorry, but at this time adult wyrms cannot convert to FBS



Each artist will have his or her own post where they will have their slots. c: They may either update that post when slots are opened/closed, and/or post saying they have so many slots open. It's up to them how many slots they open, and which forms they accept.

Yes, this does mean if you post a form the artist doesn't need to accept it; if they don't want to.



To make things easy, all artists will be using the same form tho, despite having a personal amount of slots. :3

Once you get your baby(ies) you can;

Keep it, as long as you have the slots
Gift it, with permission from the artist
Put it up for adoption. Which you can help judge. c:

The 'Other' section is for if you have a special item(earned from events), but we'll be keeping records, so don't lie. c;
Hex codes are optional, as long as they are on the ref/the color dots are visible in the corner.

And you may only choose artists who have posted saying they have open slots!

Unless one of the owners is using an item that guarantees twins, use this number generator and enter the numbers one and ten. If it lands on 2 or 7, they get twins. Anything else, and it's a single baby.

Also; FBS(Forever Baby Stage) Is not uncommon, but not all babies will have it. If one of the parents carries it, you must roll a five. If both parents have it, any number EXCEPT 5.(Meaning if both parents carry it and you get five, the baby wont have it.) Other than that, unless theres a special event item being used, its up to you whether the baby has it or not. Later, if the owner wants them to have it, then they may.

If one of the parents has a special feature(example; Hair, horn edits, fangs, etc), then you need to roll a 1 for one of those genes to be passed down(Unless, once again, they have a special event item that guarentees a gene or two). But please note; wyrms can not have wings or back legs! Not ever. c:

Note; You may need to roll around two-three times. (Once for amount of babies; Once/Twice(depends on twins or not) for FBS, and once for special genes(if any))
