What are these adorable creatures?
Mushmallows or Marshbooms are small, kitten-like creatures that have good digging paws for tough rocks and packed soil. They are believed to belong to the feline family, but also show signs of belonging as well to the Plantae and Fungi kingdoms. They mostly reside in woodlands and around small forest marshes, liking a semi-warm climate with light rainfall. They like small, mossy clearings with trees that they can dig underneath to make rooty gaps to stay warm in and hide from the rain. They have been known to eat mushrooms and anything sweet, especially marshmallows which they dig into rock to mine from their glowing, mineral-like clusters. They also like cherries and whipped cream, and are attracted to light colours and fresh smells. They have pale fur which usually comes in unnatural colours for felines. They will often have small spore-like spots on their fur, and also can have fungi growing on their flesh, seemingly a part of it. They can also have several other strange features including eyes being replaced by the undersides of mushrooms or cherries, their noses being replaced by cherries or chocolate, their ears being replaced by mushrooms or whipped cream, and other peculiar features. They sometimes have accessories such as spider silk with small mushrooms tied on that is wrapped around a part of the body. Other common occurrences are a tail that naturally curls into a whipped cream spiral, and antenna-like growths on the tips of the ears that have marshmallows growing on the ends. These strange growths are one of the main identification characteristics, as a naturally coloured Mushmallow or Marshboom without these growths could easily be mistaken for a domestic cat's kitten if not inspected closely, where one would find that the paws look conditioned for digging.
Also, a Mushmallow refers specifically to a female and a Marshboom to a male, but when referring to both one would use the feminine or it's scientific name, Felisiendi Agaricatus Bisporus C12H22O11.

To answer some possible questions, I will answer a few I thought you might have below.
Q: If Mushmallows have growths with marshmallows and mushrooms, and also eat marshmallows and mushrooms, are they cannibals?
A: No. Normal mushrooms have mushroom DNA, and the growths on the Mushmallows have the Mush's DNA. A Mush's DNA is like a cat's as well as a little bit of the mushroom DNA, but the mushroom on it's back is still it's flesh and the mushroom that it eats is not, and only fungus. Not flesh. The same would go for marshmallows, but the marshmallow didn't have DNA to begin with. However, the marshmallow that is growing as part of the Mush's flesh has the DNA of the Mush, as well as adding it's modified chemical structure to the Mush's DNA.
Q: How big is my Mushie?
A: Small females usually are around the size or a little bit bigger than your fist (depending on the size of your fist, of course), and large males can grow to be about the size of a five-pin bowling ball. These are small creatures and their offspring can be about the size of a golf ball, smaller ever when they're born, roughly around the size of a marble.
Adoption Rules
I ask that when you adopt a Mushmallow that you would please follow my expectations. If you break them I will give you two warnings, unless you very seriously break my rules so I will take away your privileges immediately. I believe in second chances. However, on strike three, I will take your mush away from you or report you, depending on the situation. I will only ban people from commenting my thread if I have to; if I take away their Mush once or give them a warning once I'm hoping that will be enough for them to learn to respect my rules. I hope that you will follow my expectations the first time so I won't have to enforce my consequences. Thank you for reading my rules.
1. If you adopt a Mush, I expect you to use it, whether it's drawing it as a character or putting the icon
I will give you in your signature. If you don't use it at all I will take it away and give it to someone else.
2. I ask that you please don't use my species without asking first and getting my approval. I came up with this by myself, and you can come up with your own, too.
3. Please don't tell people what to do too much. I think it's called mini-modding or something, but I'm not sure. Anyways, if you request someone to do something differently, ask nicely and politely without caps-lock. And also try not to be overly bossy or frequent when doing this.
4. Please, not to much caps-lock. I don't think it's a problem, but please use only a few words in complete caps if you need to, and use them in a nice way that isn't targeting to hurt others.
5. Please leave some Mushes for the others and don't hog them to yourself.
6. Trust. I trust that you've read all of these, so I don't need a key word or whatever. I'm going to trust that you're honest until I have a reason not to.
