Deer Footed Ponies
Deer Footed Ponies are an equine species that takes the shape of a small pony that stands about ten hands (three feet and four inches) high. They have the two toed hooves of a deer instead of those of a horse. Their body build is similar to that of an Arabian, with a slightly dished face, and skinny legs. They are quick runners and smart, and they have to be when their predators are wolves, cougars and other carnivores that live in the forest. They only come in natural horse colors, with a light tie-dye pattern in their base coat. They also have brindling or striping on some part of the body that can come in any color. DFP's are herbivores, meaning they only eat plants and vegetation. They seem to have an immunity to poisonous plants also. Where they live specifically are in the forests of England. They are thought to be sacred and rare animals.
So their traits are
herbivorous.
around ten hands high.
deer hooves.
tie-dye looking base coat, almost always.
some sort of brindling or striping somewhere on the body.
mane and tail variations are long mane & short tail or short mane and regular lengthed tail.
they live in forests.
their predators are wolves, cougars, and bears.
