The tail is basically the devious part of them, planning pranks and ways to make others miserable. It cannot speak, but it can communicate through mind. And yes, it is basically their sidekick. And they are not always planning pranks and such. They have to help their master { the PD } through tough times. When the PD it belongs to is sad, it has to help it, even if they do not want to. It is a rule where the Pocket Dragons come from.
