- 'BW' or "B-dub" for short, a Blanket Wombat are long legged ancestors of the Australian Hairy-nosed wombat. The have short fur, with a spiked mane on the top of their neck, reaching from the base of the neck to the forehead. They have strangely shaped ears, and no tail. They have no claws, which it strange for a species of wombat. Their noses are huge and squishy. In the wild, these wombats live in sandy burrows. They are very active during the day, and prefer to sleep at night. They can reach the size of a Labrador dog.
Wombatology:
- ✿ Even though they prefer a burrow, a basket with a ton of blankets for them to nestle under will do.
✿ A wombat will only respond to training if it's handler uses a personalised staff. These staves are individually unique and are up to the handler to make it, if you want to keep your wombat under control. Keep your staff around. A base lineart is coming soon c:
✿ Blanket Wombats eat mushrooms, mosses, grasses, shrubs and bark. Don't feed them carrots if you like their sweet smell, it gives them gas.
✿ A good rub down with a damp cloth is the only thing needed for grooming their pelt, although their mane needs a good comb every once and a while.
