You walk into a cozy, old, italian bistro, newspaper in hand. A large man with a warm smile and rosy red cheeks comes over to you. "Hello! What can I do for you?" He asks with an italian accent.
You hold up the paper and point to an ad about kittens. "I'm here to adopt a kitten." You return his friendly smile.
"Oh, yes! You will love them! They are the sweetest kittens you could ever meet!"
He leads you through the kitchen and into his office at the back. In his office there is a pet gate set up, containing five kittens.
"Go ahead and mingle with them a bit. See which one fits with you." He smiled and motioned at the group of kittens.
You step over the pet gate, and immediately you are met with a joyous chorous of mewing and pawing. You reach down and scratch the kittens, but there is a large cushion in the corner with a blanket over it. You notice the blanket is moving a bit, and you turn to ask the italian man about it. "What about that one over there?"
"Oh, that kitty has me worried. It hasn't come out from under that blanket in quite a while." A concerned expression washes over his face.
You look once again at the cushion. You're not sure what it is, but something about it calls to you. "I'll take that one." You smile and scoop it up, cushion, banket, and all.
The italian man smiles again. "I wish you the best of luck with that little one. Maybe you'll be able to coax it to come out."

When you arrive home, you slip a small dish of food, and another one of water, under the blanket. You refil the dishes each day for what seems like an eternity.
Five days after you bring the bundle home, you see a little face poking out. "Hello little one." You smile and speak softly, offering it your finger to sniff. The kitten slips back under the blanket. You continue like this for another six days. Finally, on the eleventh day after you bring the fuzzy little bundle home, the kitten comes out.
