Facts:
1. This species stands only 3 feet at the shoulder, up to 4 feet when standing tall with head up. They are very light compared to a horse or pony but heavier than a wolf.
2. They are sleeker and finer legged than a horse and have legs that are much like a pre-historic 4 or 5 toed horse.
3. The ears are long and pointed and kind of a mix of the 2 species but pointier than either would be. (Kind of like a ear clipped Doberman?)
4. The paws are not paws but small very pointed sharp hooves. The tip is almost razor/talon sharp.
5. The neck is longer than a wolf and shorter than a horse or pony.
6. The tail comes in several shapes, wolf (shown) horse, or a more donkey like tail with hair at the end & more.
7. The hair on the neck can be short/wolflike, medium (shown) or long like a Friesian or Saddlebred horse.
8. This species will have spurs on the legs which are where the 4th toes were on prehistoric horses. These spurs grow with age, growing outward and away from the legs so as not to intefere with the animal. These are always much lighter and brighter in color, even sometimes a golden or silverish color.
9. This species may or may not have a curving sharp single horn that is very antelope like, many shapes but not too long, never longer than the leg or thicker than the ears.
10. This species can come in any color or pattern but tend to lean toward horse colors with un-natural markings.
11. This species is an omnivore. They do not hunt like a wolf, nor graze quite like a horse but rather a combination of both and they love bugs and small lizards or reptiles they can catch. They do chomp vegetation and their favorite edible plant is clover, especially if it has some red clover mixed in.
12. When bothered, this species prefers to run away but if scared or in real danger will kick out at their attacker catching them with the spurs and tiny sharp hooves. They also have very sharp canine teeth but also the flat tearing teeth of an equine.
