Adoption and Buying: You can only adopt 10, and you may NOT return them to be put back up for adoption. Each male for adoption is a gelding. That is the adoption rules. Any SMD to be adopted out will be gelded/ fixed. However these rules do not apply if you are buying. Buying is where you can buy them with art. So the more art, the more valuable they are. However, you may not sell your SMD without talking to me about what art you are looking for.
Breeding: Breeding is closed for now, but below is some details for when it opens.
When breeding a pair of SMD the stallion must not be a gelding, as geldings are not able to reproduce- same for fixed mares. The pair you choose must be of equal value to have a foal. So, for example:
GOOD BAD
Stallion has 2 pieces of art + Mare that has 4 pieces of art = no foal (reason: Not equal value)
Stallion that was adopted + Mare that has 1 piece of art = no foal (reason: Stallion is a gelding)
Stallion has 3 pieces of art + Mare that was adopted = no foal (reason: Mare is fixed)
Stallion has 4 pieces of art + Mare that has 4 pieces of art = foal (reason: equal value)
Good Questions:
Is the art done by the person who wants the foal or is drawn by different people?
When buying a SMD, you buy it by making as much art. Like an auction. If 1 person makes 1 piece of art, then you want to make 2 pieces of art to win. Once it's won, that will become it's value. After winning the auction, you may still add more art over time to increase it's value, however the art MUST be by you. If someone makes fan art or such it will not count.
When breeding, who gets the foal?
The foal can belong to both owners- which can be beneficial because then both of you can make art of the foal to increase it's value. So you can do 2 pieces of art and your breeding partner could do 5 pieces of art and make the foals value of 7.
