The Ryong is a species of dragon-like creatures first located in the Hallasan Mountains of South Korea. First observed many years ago by the research facility located near the islands in the late 1990s, these wondrous beasts have been tested and modified to support domestication and tameness. Now, finally released to the public as of early 2019, these dragons are now compatible with humans and are a fast-growing in choice working animals and companions.

Species Info.

The Ryongs got their name
due to the close resemblance of ryong
dragons in Korean folklore. These
creatures are very intelligent and obedient
so it's preferred for them to be with
humans that can keep up with them mentally
and physically. Ryongs can come in a variety
of sizes, the smalled being the size of an
average tool shed and the biggest ever
recorded being the size an adult male humpback
whale.

Even though they lack wings like their
western counterparts or the ability to fly
like their ancient ancestors, Ryongs are very fast runners
and extremely excellent swimmers. So, if you
do get a ryong, make sure you have a big
pool and lots of water cause they love
it just as much as a hyper kid loves sugar!

Cintamani

The orbs, worn like necklaces,
are called "cintamani" in tradition.
It was believed that whoever possessed
one instantly had god-like powers.
However, in the modern world, the need
for god powers isn't necessary. Nowadays,
ryongs keep this orbs as a form of
personal possessions. Cintas work similarly
to dog collars and you can usually replace
broken or missing orbs online. It is highly
advised to replace them as soon as
possible since ryongs absolutely worship
and protect their orbs. If not replaced in
a matter of weeks, a ryong can turn violent
and unruly. In rare instances, cintas don't
have to be orbs but they can instead be
objects that the ryong truly loves.

◈ General Rules ◈

1. Follow all of Tess + CS rules!
2. Ryongs are closed species. You cannot make one without a myo or staff approval.
3. Please respect all of fellow staff and member! It's all about those good vibes here!
4. You may not trade or gift ryongs outside of the species including for any sort of currency. You are allowed so for other ryongs or ryong-related items.
5. Don't edit or add anything to your ryong's original ref unless it's an accessory.
6. No begging, whining, or blackmailing if you don't win a comp. Just keep working hard and you may win one sooner than you'd think!
7. No posting of forms after a comp's deadline.
8. No mini-modding, however you are free to answer simple questions in the fanclub!
9. Don't ask the Artists questions or concerns that lean more for the Mods unless it relates to art!

1. You nay own up to 10 Ryongs as of now! (Subject to change)
2. Don't steal ryongs that don't belong to you!
3. You cannot alter lineart of ryong unless you have permission or if you're adding accessories.
4. Ryongs have gender/sexuality freedom so that they can be whatever you'd like them to be!
5. Ryongs are more of working animals set in the upcoming future, however, you're free to make them part of a different AU! You may make them more humanoid or in the past or etc. as well as using them in RPs!
6. You may not have a custom ryong without a myo or permission. You may also allow another user to make your custom!
7. You must have owned a ryong for 3 weeks before you can trade, gift, or put up for readoption.

1. Artists must follow the rules like everyone else!
2. Be active in the community! Also, be prepared to be asked for customs or questions regarding art!
3. You may charge a fee for doing customs, however you may not sell or auction official adopts.
4. Artists may make any sort of comp (raffle, forms, etc.)
5. Active artists are allowed 1 Uncommon custom for every 4 ryongs they've made. 1 Rare custom for every 6-7 ryongs made. They are allowed 1 Legendary custom for every 2 months of activity.
6. The ryong limit doesn't count towards artists.
7. Artist may trade, gift, raffle, or reward their MYO slots.
8. If a comp isn't judged within 3 weeks or the artist inform they can't judge, a new judge will be chosen.
9. Make sure if a ryong with accessories has a separate ref w/o them!
10. Artist can give out RUs for comps as long as there's a reasonable amount!

Inform the original artist if you're

Until I get things settles and figured out, I
may have to find a way to work in a nursery
somehow.
