i dont understand is this in the US only? ,im a bit slow can someone explane what this thing is

I've been told that SOPA is going to delete every website with copyright infragments, including websites like CS, Warrior Forums, and Youtube.
This doesn't only affect America; it affects the whole world.

NUUUUUUU T_T Not CS and YouTube I can't live without those 2 sites T_T Not fair government not fair.

I woke up this morning, and my first thought was what I was going to do on the internet. >_>
No longer participating in the blackout; Staying off the computer is torture, even though that's probably what would happen if the law gets passed.
Man, I must've been really tired or paranoid last night; All these negative thoughts coming into my head n' stuffs. Cx I'll still try to raise awareness, though.

Well rereading alot of things people are a bit mixed up.....if SOPA and PIPA were to be passed it would just be the USA facing a block and all the websites that have servers in the USA. If Youtube was hosted in the usa. EVERYTHING that was copyrighted would be gone. Unless who ever posted it have written consent from those that own the material. So people from around the world can still use youtube its just you wont see ANYTHING that was copyrighted. (( I.e User made music videos, videos with lyrics, Fan dubs, Fan made videos and more)) and well if you are in the usa and you play chicken smoothie you can kiss it goodbye! One the Warrior cats ((Idk if the copyright is in the us but if it is)) thats strike one, The users using copyrighted stuff, strike two, and the third, Fan art, the ability to buy art, and ect since you could want something that again violates SOPA and PIPA.

And Yes it isn't likely to happen....But neither are a lot of things....but they still do. and yes the president said he would never let something like this pass, but the fact our government by the people FOR THE PEOPLE are trying to take the peoples right of free speech away is unnerving....first its censoring of the internet, then art, then music, and sooner or later being gay will be a crime punishable by death, along with having a religion that isnt deemed "ok" by the Gov....its the first step to a fascist nation and yes it seems crazy to say this....but it can and could and WOULD happen if we allow our basic rights to be taken away.

If you noticed it seems most of the America bills are being outloud. The other bills for other countries are quiet and hard to find on the internet.. I know I saw one for UK. So who knows?

I do have to ask... has anyone actually READ the bill? I just did. And I reeeeally don't see where all this "IMAGES ARE BANNED FROM THE INTERNET" panic is coming from. What I got out of the bill was no more streaming music/movies/TV shows (which is already illegal) and no more making counterfeit goods (also already illegal.)

The bill word for word is right here. Which part of the bill bans use of images and characters? I'm not trying to be catty and sarcastic, like I honestly don't see it.

It is to stop piracy, and you can steal anything on the internet, movies, books, music,...ideas and characters are "Intellectual property" and here is a definition of it

YEAH! Way to say it Magstars. I concur! We have to act! Yes I agree we could be blowing this a little out of proportion... but what if we're not? That's my point. What if they do go on with this? Would all of you want to go without YouTube, chicken smoothie, deviantart? Well let's say it'll make the internet one sad, boring place...
