It's nice to know that I'm not alone- I'm used to having people look at me like I'm psychotic when I tell them. A few weeks ago, my brother's friends and I were all setting up for his surprise party (and of course we had helium and balloons and all that jazz) and two of them were terrifying me with the balloons. It was horrible. ;n; As for the last part, it's actually progressing into something similar. I don't like being handed freshly blown up balloons because, like you said, I'm expecting the balloon to pop. Not right when I see it though, right when it's handed to me. xD
It sucks, this phobia, because I really like balloons. (I'm just scared to death of them.)
